Video/Audio help needed again.., using xonar d2x with cakewalk

i'm using my d2x asus with cakewalk.. anyone else using these equipment can u help me plz.. ive done setting to ASIO and all.. but my midi is working n my sound recording(eg guitar n mic) are not.. is it a problematic card.. or settings still not right?? thank you

most probably is your setting.

i never use that soundcard before, but go to the control panel of the soundcard (like Realtek Control center or Soundblaster that kind of control center, if don't have, doublt click the volume control), then go to the "recording" section or "input" section, and make sure you select the appropriate input (say, "Mic In" or "Line In").

then go to SONAR (lol Xonar with SONAR), make sure you choose ASUS D2X as your input as well, and disable any other inputs that you don't use.

when recording, double click the audio track, it'll call up the track properties. then make sure your input is set to the ASUS D2X, and usually, LEFT input for mono input.

i only can record in WDM... ASIO gives me some crappy crack sound only

try to change some option there...
