QUOTE(jasonlimjc @ Jun 8 2009, 09:18 AM) Breathtaking! Excellent capture thx guys for the compliments. FYI, there was no editing what so ever been done to the snap.It was the original snap.I wonder how did you manage to grab the rich blues in your picture? Did you alter the color temperature? here is the exiff data for the snap Exposure: 0.033 sec (1/30) Aperture: f/4.5 Focal Length: 11 mm ISO Speed: 800 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: Off White Balance: Tungsten the story behind the snap was, I'm on my way going to the bus stand in front of the KLCC, after a day of street shooting. Once i walked out front the KLCC, I looked up and damn, the view of the 2 building and the lighting was so magnificent. I stopped, get my A700 and uwa and shoot! how i get the rich blue? While i'm inside KLCC, i set my WB to tungsten and when i walked out from KLCC, i forgot to changed it...I just snap ! but...it came out beautifully! |

QUOTE(millenia3000 @ Jun 13 2009, 11:47 AM) although i think the 17-50 is the best 18-70 replacement to many alpharians... but somehow i also think the17-70 is a lil more interesting compared to the 17-50... in terms of it's magnification ratio 1:2.3 for the sigma and 1:4.5 for the tamron.... and also the MFD with 20cm for sigma and 27cm for tamron... millenia, may i know what is the usage if u get the sigma 17-70?based on what u were saying here, sort of u want macro usage from the replacement. Am i correct? This post has been edited by marushin: Jun 13 2009, 01:02 PM |

QUOTE(millenia3000 @ Jun 13 2009, 01:07 PM) thanks maru for helping me out here... i wanna use it as u know a "fairly" wide and walkabout lens... im not too worried about the aperture because i'm so used to the kitlens already... what i liked about the magnification is when u do like closeup shots and have the background in as well the subject still remains sharp... ok, i get u...then my recommendation 1-tammy 1750 2-CZ1680 3-SAL16105 4-Sigma 1770 why i put cz 2nd? because if u have budget constraint. If not-just go for cz.like shofreeze said-sigma have many issue especially on the gear stripping. SAL16105 the best choice if u dun mind about the sharpness, contrast. but still great walkabout lens. Yet, tammy 1750 is the best in price, sharpness, a good contrast for a 3rd party lens. but still, tepok dada tanya selera... |

QUOTE(laszlo @ Jun 14 2009, 09:20 PM) Can someone recommend me a good telephoto zoom lens? .........................................................................................................................................................................Currently my choices are the "beercan" selling at garage sale for 750 and the Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO DG Macro (should be lesser right?) The cheaper the better Been a while since I played with my A200. Need new lens to make addicted to photography again QUOTE(hokc77 @ Jun 14 2009, 09:34 PM) my recommendation: listen to hokcc77.....Minolta 70-210mm f3.5 ~ 4.5. Should be between RM400 to RM450. I used this previously to shoot sports, F1, bikes and it was superb for it's price. Cheaper, lighter and smaller than the beercan. Or get the Sony 55-200mm. Similar price range and newer lens. |
