Sony cameras not good? Not really. I find them to be quite nice actually. Like hokc77 mentioned (and he mentioned it well), the photo will only be as good as the finger that presses the shutter.... Get a camera that is easy for you to begin your journey into the dslr world. In this field, I think the new Sony A230, A330 & A380 are doing a damn fine job. Mind you, whatever camera you choose, your first 500 shots are definitely going to look bad.... until you start mastering your skills, then your talent will truly shine, no matter what camera is in your hands then.
Here is a shot from yesterday at The Lake Walk, Mines, together with a few alpha members. ![]() |

QUOTE(Shazril @ Jun 17 2009, 08:29 AM) hello guys. BULB exposure is usually a "trial and error" kinda shot. Of course there are some general guidelines from experiences, such as if shooting at night for street lights and light trails of cars, I would use exposure of 20 seconds, and aperture of f11. oh, and an ISO of 100 or 200. I'm thinking to shoot a long exposure photo (like stars etc). i have some question regarding this. 1. how to avoid over-expose the pic? since we use bulb setting, its really hard to know the adequate time for exposure. 2. any recommended settings (iso, aperture etc) thanks in advance! By the way, you are the FIRST person I came across that actually have the Tamron 70-200 f2.8 for sony mount! |

alpha_company: there are many interpretations of how a HDR processed photo should look like. all of them are correct in their own context. so really, there are no real wrong or right in HDR processing. It is just how the creator wants to present their photo. Your interpretation may not had been understood by others, hence some of the negative feedback you might be getting. It seems like your purposely soften shot of the ship is not really working out. Might try a sharper approach next time?
Anyway, here is a HDR rendering I did a long time ago. I preferred the less extreme HDR treatment approach. ![]() |

QUOTE(Banzai_san @ Jun 24 2009, 09:47 PM) I went to Sony Shop at Karamunsing Complex, KKinabalu but could not find A330 Bro, go to the shop in WISMA MERDEKA 1st floor. They are more receptive to Sony Alpha users. Just say Sham recommended you to go there... The staffs there do not even know about it. They said A330 no more available, but I can get the A300 or A350... DUH...
