i have seen pics of the upcoming metroid trilogy..... wow. i was wondering is this the standard version or will it be limited like CE?

this not metroid trilogy (which is consist of MP 1 + MP 2)

Metroid: Other M rolls into North America June 27

The galaxy is at peace, now that we know we'll be able to demand our copy of Metroid: Other M from the patient retailer of our choice on June 27. The date for the Nintendo and Team Ninja collaboration was just announced at the Nintendo Media Summit event.

Metroid co-creator and producer of Other M Yoshio Sakamoto explained why the game opts to use solely the Wii Remote on its own, rather than utilise the Nunchuck's analogue-stick option.

"Two reasons. The first, with the team I've been working with, we've been making the Metroid series in 2D up to this point. Even though we've been looking for a way to control Samus in 3D, we wanted to achieve the feeling that you had when Samus was in 2D. We decided that the traditional D-pad for movement plus jumping and shooting on buttons was the most appropriate control scheme for this direction. The second reason, and let me preface this by saying I don't think bad games use the nunchuk because there are a lot of great games that do, there's a certain image created with the nunchuk, it's a bit of a barrier in accessibility because it's a "different" control. The nunchuk I think is more appropriate for core audiences. At the same time, I feel that showing people a 3D game where you can control it using the remote really does stir the imagination, they'll think "How's it possible to control the character using the sideways remote in 3D?" I also think it's attractive to those who grew up playing games using this kind of control. "

is ok i don't mind. ps3 users do shave their armpits, but they don't make it obvious that they do (jatuh maruah). they do leave a well grommed banks to mark that where all the testesterone comes from. it doubles as a good testesterone disspation agent too. nerds are very knowledgeable.

For me, other m can consider a new evolution of 2D+3D game. Everything is going smooth from cut scene to gameplay.

graphic is consider 1 of the best in wii, using just wiimote control is like very old school NES game, and switching btw normal view and first person view is xtremely smooth and no problem. When in first person view, wiimote is act like Samus cannon, and u can also hold wiimote face up to recharge the missile in normal view. The gameplay is full of action based coz it is team ninja...haha...

Something to remember tat in first person view, u cant move Samus...so u need to plan the best time to switch the view.

Most of the reviewer claiming tat the voice over of Samus is bad, but for me i m more focus into the gameplay in terms of cutscene. Cut scene is just like icing on the cake.

Overall the game is based on the feeling of NES metroid ver. Simple control but full of action based. Boss battle is very nice like Zelda.

Just give u all a clue tat

Finally finished playing the game, 48%...still got lot to xplore.

This game really not like Ninty style. The whole game is like action+movie game, something like SE always do it FF.

When u play, it is just like watching a movie...

Really cool opening story... superb graphic (the best for Wii so far)... excellent soundtrack...

What I dislike are the expressionless VO... langsung no omh and potong steam to listen to that voice... and also that mole on Samus left chin.

I can't remember Samus got mole on her face...

the switching controller of hori & vertical are no problem, you'll get use with it shortly.

how far are you now? I just finished Sector 1.

still sector 1. where the 3 snakes shooting blue pulse lasers at me. already 3 times die, then have to send my daughter for ballete. any tips? i figured must use cannon at them so they come out from their worm hole, then more cannon to kill them. between cannoning, dance a lot to avoid their lasers. but still mati.......tough la

this 1 isn't that tough, but tricky.

You need to use Standard Missle, get them out from their worm hole, then perform a close melee blast, i.e. charge move close, blast them in close range. Take them out 1 by 1.

Have you obtain the disburst beam (I can't remember the name correctly)?

This help to do lotsa damage.

ya... the dance move is really cool and useful!

I thought this game's story development+progress was very straight forward... surprisingly... it's NOT!

The story has some complexity and an unexpected twist... the further I progress... the more I love this game.

2 bad... can't play now... wife hogging TV for Leslie Cheung's concert.

boss fight is fun!

Not that difficult, nor easy either.

It's quite tricky... it's different from the normal boss fight, where the boss will do/perform a routine, and you need to remember the sequence of attack.

So far MoM's boss fight is random, despite they will attack you in certain moves, but these are all random, and that makes it challenging and fun.

gone through the worms, but need to pause for now. going back to work (outstation).....miss my game, i mean kids.
