QUOTE(Mgsrulz @ Oct 16 2009, 09:48 PM) I think that hideo will be pulling something off with this one..Just like how he did with the "look at everyone's arse, the cutest is meryl.." jig in MGS1.. I'm thinkin that hideo wants us to be like.."snake, u better look under my clothes cause there will be something important there which will advance your plot n if u r not pervy u r screwed..big bossu!"... |

New Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Demo Hits on Sunday
All played out on that Tokyo Game Show Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker demo? Well here's some good news for you then. A new demo is on the way, and it will be yours to play in less than a week! Metal Gear series producer Hideo Kojima announced the new demo in a post today at the Kojima Productions official blog. The new demo has received approval, he said, and will be available on November 1, simultaneously with the PSP go's domestic release. Different from the TGS download demo, which, following its availability on the show floor, was released through various media outlets over time, the new demo will be offered through PlayStation Network, the Peace Walker official site, and various other web sites simultaneously. The new demo is based off the show-floor Tokyo Game Show demo -- that is, the version of the demo that was playable exclusively on the show floor but not distributed to the masses. The show floor demo had additional elements, including an extra stage. This stage will be in the new demo, as will the ability to control the camera during the game's manga-like cut scenes. Kojima Productions is also making some additions on top of that version. The controls have been tuned based off player opinion. Joining the selectable shooter and action control schemes of the original demo, you'll find a third control scheme which will have to be unlocked. Details on how to unlock the control method will be shared in a future update. Although Kojima announced plans for the third control scheme immediately after TGS, he has yet to detail the differences. Other changes include improved enemy AI and behavioral patterns, and changes to the CQC system. These changes, says Kojima, will make the game easier to play. Images of the new demo, shared at the blog. Those who play through the new demo will also find an extra bonus in the form of a fourth rare wallpaper. The previous demo had just three. There's somewhat of a story behind the name of the demo. The TGS demo's Japanese name can be translated to "Not Demoed Prevention Version," meaning that it was released to prevent people from not demoing Peace Walker. The new demo's name is titled "Unfinished Prevention Version," meaning that it's being used to prevent the final version of the game from being unfinished or unpolished. Kojima Productions hopes to use player feedback from the new demo to polish up Peace Walker once again before its release. He refers to this practice of releasing demos and getting feedback as a game of "catch ball" with players. The new demo is the second step in that game. In the blog post, Kojima also explained that due to a lengthy approval process, the Tokyo Game Show demo was made well before the show. Perhaps we'll be getting our first real look at Peace Walker with the new demo. |
