i dont think L4D sux. but it feels a bit less in a sense. It is hard to describe. the game gets really boring after a while. champagne, versus, survival...they're all the same. So I thought ok, nevermind, it is valve, they could release a new update or two to spice up the game. then pooof...L4D 2 we have to pay. I don't see any company that do this so fast within a year.
Even the money minded EA with their battlefield series took some more time. the cake is a lie. oh yeah...i am not really sad bout it. just a bit disappointed. i have the rights not to buy. so yeah. This post has been edited by SpikeTwo: Jun 3 2009, 10:02 AM |

QUOTE(H@H@ @ Jun 3 2009, 10:02 AM) i dont know sport games have that much online MP players as compared to FPSs or RTS or MMORPG. (xfire stats for example).call of duty, first itself it is a complete game with complete single player experience with full story. I paid a full game price for a full game. so it is a fair trade. and I never played the treyach version so CoD for me is always 2 years. which is good. The online experience is top notch and I don't feel it needs anymore DLC to spice the experience (exclude patch fix), other than a new release after things began to cool down. The timing is perfect. L4D is a unique one. A full price for 4 online maps, limited gameplay and no proper SP mode. Unless people call that playing the game offline with bots = SP mode. It is the same shit with the online counterpart. If it was by other company, I won't buy it. But Because I thought/assume valve would continue updating the game to provide richer experience, I was wrong. so yeah, my respect for the company has dropped. when they could do it once, who knows they wont do it the second time? since the reviewers, presses, gamers are lapping all over and shaking their tails. yeah, more money to come. |

i am not ignoring the COD franchise. i am ignoring the non-original developer! lol...if it is by infinity wards, its fine for me.
yeah everyone has their point of view. what i am trying to say is, valve converted from being different to become the same as the rest. they lose customers like me, or maybe gained some new ones. who knows. but for sure, my perspective has changed. i dont mind the first lie as pushing back the release date isn't necessary a bad thing. Nobody wants a buggy game. btw, i think demigod sales sucked. not even come close as 1/1000 of L4D sales eh? |

QUOTE(H@H@ @ Jun 4 2009, 04:23 PM) Trust us a little bit make original L4D exactly updated like L4D2..but...NIGHT time! muahahaha...Hmmm, I'm extremely curious as to how they're going to "keep the community" together. That's my only concern really. Added on June 4, 2009, 9:24 pmbtw, same trick don't work twice, valve. This post has been edited by SpikeTwo: Jun 4 2009, 09:24 PM |

you make chocolate cake, and you make cheesecake...then you hope to combine both become mooncake. that's what they are sayin.
i am not spoilt by TF2 i rarely play it too. i feel empty about L4D. After the game, i feel like "just like that?" kinda thingy. like h@h@ said, the hours of enjoyment in L4D thing. For me, is not enough yet. I dont feel enough. Something is missing. But now...poof. L4D2 in the face. Nah, chew something out of this sequel...which was suppose to be in L4D 1. anyways, we shall see. whether or not valve shall tremble... (too much D3)... oh, +1 to plant. I am with you on this one. yes H@H@...no..no stabbing detected. LOL...
that's my point. The game feels kinda empty and not complete, what I "was" thinking is that they would probably release some kinda updates like some content in the L4D2 in the upcoming DLC. Most ppl complained too few maps/champaigns, not even weapons...more character...not many complained bout the AI director (if valve truly wishes to hear us). |

i am not really boycotting the game. as the first gameplay doesn't really appeals to me that justifies my RM140. i was just a lil dissapointed because didn't thought of valve would improve the game by using a sequel.
but still, valve is one of a few great PC developers out there. so i would ask those who really like the first game to buy this too, if you don't mind. I will wait for HL3 and the new IP. |
