morning guys... to share with u guys my version of LC optimus repaint.. (80% repaint completed, took me around 6 hours)

battle damage!

compare with lot of sifu's repaint.. me still got lot to catch up.



area still left of.. smoke pipe.. chest side door panel.. feet area.. back part...

Bro, in Timemachine KL it's about that price too. Whether worth it or not, it's up to personal opinion. For me it looks exactly the same with Hasbro's. On Sideswipe and especially Sideways the Takara version also had scratches and the paint job looks the same, at least from the packaging (which is similar to Hasbro's). I don't own the Takara version of Sideways so I can't compare the robot mode.

However, I did buy Takara's leader class prime (RM235 at Timemachine KL). The smokestacks look nicer that the Hasbro version. Takara's smokestacks are grey while Hasbro's are slightly transparent. The chest part of Takara's is also grey while Hasbo's is Red.

just got skids @ Parkson Sunway Pyramid, no more LC OP seen there. searched the whole building..nowhere to be found.. same goes for the FALLEN. both are selling like goreng pisang d. nvm, i'll complete the autobot 1st then only hunt for decepticons.

dang that's awesome ! can i hire you to paint mine? i don't want battle dmg, just a different shade of grey, maybe gun metal. i wanted to do it myself but i have no idea how to disassemble this guy.

yes, not original, but it's a masterpiece now, one of a kind. sure beats the original colour scheme. although i think the battle dmg will make the truck mode look fugly.

ROTF use robot bot...TFTM premium use truck mode...kao tim...

oh i meant hassan ask me to repaint the ironhide not that prime thingy haha.

Repainting is nice but i prefer to keep it as it is.

i did not disassemble anything.. just carefully choose various size of brush when painting each part.. a lot of patience needed.

Added on June 8, 2009, 12:01 pm3 tamiya colours i use in the project. semi gloss black, red, and chrome silver, each bottle RM17.00 at tamiya shop.

brush pack depends on your own prefer.. for me cheap price will do.. but need few shape and sizes for painting.. bought mine around RM4.90 per pack of 4.

Added on June 8, 2009, 12:11 pmyeah.. the truck mode will not look nice anymore with my paint scheme now.. actually before i start the repaint project.. i do ask myself.. either i go for the moderate paint job so the truck mode will still look ok.... or the heavy battle damage repaint style which is a no turning back..

finally the result what u guys see now which is the 2nd choice.. (for me this LC optimus perfect robot mode is the main reason i make the purchased.. not the truck look.)
