Why la Man Utd wear white jersey on that day... seems likea a curse, Red is still the best color for the team!
*
cannot wear red and blue also cos barca's jersey red and blue... and why barca wore their home jersey, cos they are technically the 'home' team when the draw was done.. their half became 'home' half and our half was the 'away' one

Had the decency to go straight to our players and shake hands before celebrating in full force.

I had this muppet of a retard in my campus who's an Arsenal fans and writes nothing but insulting remarks about United. That cheap *******, I felt like flooring him today.
*
Easy bro.. what to do?! it seems like there are only two sides of fans here.. one United and the other are plain stupid ABUs.. as far as I am concerned, only Barca fans are eligible to say that we are defeated by them cos they were better.. the rest are just people who thinks using their a$$hole fillings... except for Barca fans and other team fans who doesnt care of last nite's result, the rest are retards... they have became so cos along the way their team was dumped out off the UCL...

saw The Star article today, Evra said that he wants to floor Fabregas the next time he sees him outside a football match... ohmy.gif

the reason why i asked was that i saw some 'seriousness' in their calling for Ron's head... especially new guys... biggrin.gif

in that case, I think we should replace Ron with Michael Schumacher... he is a good footballer u know... drool.gif

The Star today's sports headline is a real nutty! The score of Barca-MU was stated but the headlines screamed RAGING RON! Why must they give credit to what Ron has to say than reporting how good Barca were against us. I thought it should have stated something like Super Barca.. Hail Barca.. Barca, the new kings of europe.. This is because today's edition is their 1st chance to report Barca's victory.. Just dont understand why media plays up Ronaldo and make him look like he is bigger than clubs (Man Utd and Barca). vmad.gif

I guess some people just can't be satisfied.

At least not until Fabian Assmann arrives. Assmann.. so much better than PIG, no? Say it again. Assmann...

Just who the feck is this Assmann?! Is he a reliable GK that we desperately need now? vmad.gif

According to Tamil Nesan, MU is going to sell Nani, Park and Berbatov. While Harakah says we're asking Sami Al-Jaber to come out of retirement and sign him up. Daily Bugle claims we're signing Spiderman to replace Van Der Sar while The Gotham Daily claims it is all lies and we're signing up Batman instead to replace Sir Alex and The Joker as his assistant. URTV says Ronaldo is boning Nani's girlfriend behind his back in a sandwich with Anderson while FHM claims Berba is posing for semi nude photos in next month issue.
This is all true, no lies.

Brazilian starlet set to sign for United
Stuart Mathieson

June 08, 2009

UNITED are set to sign Brazilian teenager Dodo but the Reds are accused of threatening to make Brazilian football extinct.

The 17-year-old Corinthians centre-half has claimed he will join United and will expand the Reds Brazilian contingent that already contains Rafael and Fabio da Silva and Rodrigo Possebon.

But the export of another huge talent has angered 1970 World Cup winner Carlos Alberto. "It is disgraceful United are allowed to do this to Brazilian football," he said.

"The big teams have the money and can take our best players. It is a big problem in Brazil.

"The clubs cannot keep good young players because they can make much more money in other countries. They should change the law so, at least until the age of 20 or 21, the best players play in Brazil and get experience before moving to Europe.

"Fifa must do something."

Last November, United struck a deal with Desportivo Brasil, a youth club owned by Traffic Football Management, that gives Sir Alex Ferguson first option on more than 120 teenagers being groomed for European football in the Sao Paulo academy run by World Cup winner Carlos Parreira.

Haiya.. we are doing them a favour to develop their players, yet this clown can call it disgraceful... doh.gif

Legendary status is reserved for those who are loyal and bleed the United red. Ronaldo a legend? I'm sorry. As brilliant a player he was for us, he doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Charlton, Law and Cantona.
*
Spot on!! 6 years of service + many goals and stunning performances + attitude problem = NOT A LEGEND AT ALL!!

Legends should be like Cantona, Keano, Scholes, Giggs...even Gary Neville will be a legend when he retires, but not u Ronaldo... thanx for the services, u were paid well, u were treated well (though u didnt treat the club the same way)..thanx a lot.. good luck at RM...

btw, my fav OLE is a living legend of all time!

Cristiano Ronaldo transfer: Q&A of £80m deal between Real Madrid and Manchester United
Read everything you need to know about Cristiano Ronaldo’s £80 million world record transfer from Real Madrid to Manchester United.

How did the news break?
At around 9.30am on Thursday morning Manchester United released a statement on their official website that read: “Manchester United have received a world-record, unconditional offer of £80 million for Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

“At Cristiano’s request – who has again expressed his desire to leave – and after discussion with the player’s representatives, United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player.

Ferguson's £80m targets How was the deal done?
At 6pm on Wednesday Real faxed an official offer to United with the figure 94,000,000 euros on it. United chief executive David Gill was informed. He in turn called Sir Alex Ferguson, who is on holiday, to get his blessing before informing the Glazer family, who own the club. When all parties were happy the offer was accepted.

It’s been going on for longer than that though, right?
Much longer. Real have been chasing Ronaldo for years and, despite publicly saying he wasn’t for sale, United struck a gentlemen’s agreement – nothing was signed – with the player and his agent Jorge Mendes, last summer that if Ronaldo stayed for another season he could leave the following year, should Real match United’s valuation.

How much is the deal worth?
Less than a week after breaking the transfer record by paying £59 million for Kaka from AC Milan, Real smashed it again in offering £80 million for Ronaldo.

How much will Ronaldo be paid?
More than £106 million across his six-year contract, should he complete it. The Portuguese will earn £9.5 million in his first year – £183,000 a week – followed by a 25 per cent pay rise in each of the following five years of his contract. This would amount to £556,000 a week in the final year of his contract. The rest of the projected total comes from his share of image rights.

When will it be completed?
United have set a deadline of June 30 to have everything tied up and, despite being on holiday in the US, Ronaldo is currently in talks with the club over personal terms. Should all be finalised early next week.

Who will United buy now?
The sale of Fraizer Campbell to Hull City and the probable departure of Nani, added to the £30 million Ferguson would have been given anyway this summer means the Scot is now sat on a war chest of around £120 million. Wigan’s Antonio Valencia, who will cost around £15m, has already been lined up as a replacement for Ronaldo as a wide player while moves to lure Franck Ribery from Bayern Munich are already afoot, too, though he will be closer to £50m.

Ferguson will finally be able to land his long term target of Karim Benzema of Lyon while the possibility of Carlos Tevez being offered a permanent contract have increased with Ronaldo’s departure.

Is that the end of Real Madrid’s spending?
Maybe, maybe not. Florentino Perez’s ‘galacticos’ project, the sequel, appears to have an even more monstrous budget than the one before. Liverpool’s Xabi Alonso is on his wish-list, as is Ribery. Despite debts of around 500 million euros, Perez has indicated the summer’s spending could top the 200 million mark. A couple of defenders might not go amiss, but then that’s not really his style is it?

Who’s saying what?

Cristiano Ronaldo: “It’s flattering when two of the top teams in the world want you to play for them, but I have had my time at Manchester United. Now I can look forward to Real Madrid and a new stage in my career. I learned about the deal here in Los Angeles and have heard from my people that Manchester United have accepted. I am on vacation and will remain in Los Angeles for a bit more, but the deal is historic. £80 million is quite a sum of money.”

Ramon Calderón: “Let’s say it was a gentlemen’s agreement in order not to bother Manchester last season, because (United manager, Sir Alex) Ferguson also wanted to keep the player. For this reason we decided to wait until this season and that is what has happened.”

“I did whatever I could to have Ronaldo at Real Madrid this next season. That was the important thing to do. I did my best. I think it was OK to do that, to talk to him and try to convince him it was the best solution for his future. That’s all. I don’t mind that someone else is going to present him. That’s not important. The important thing is Real Madrid. I’ve been working for this club and I’m very happy he’s definitely here.”

The Glazer family: “The decision reflects Cristiano’s desire to move on after six years of distinguished service for the club during which time he has won everything, and the manager has accepted his decision. The Glazer family, as owners, have always supported the manager consistently since their takeover of the club and that is again the situation in this case.”
