hello there...
i have mistakenly plug in my Boss DS-1 pedal and the pedal blew up..
The explosion is quite ok la followed by a smoke for minutes...
i didnt know wut to do coz i dont know much with electronics.. i need help and advice dor me to service this
pedal..pls...its only a year life...i cant use the warranty i guess bcoz i bought it in australia...

What did you do exactly that you are able to blow up an effect pedal? Real curious...

What do you mean by "mistakenly plug in".....

But if there WAS an explosion, chances of saving it are pretty slim. Looks like you might have to buy a new one.

yes, i'm curious too. you're using universal adapter and set the voltage wrongly?

Did you use an adaptor with voltage great than 9v?
In the instruction manual already said mah... always use boss adaptors :-)

But if the explosion is not due to wrong voltage... then you must really share with us what you did.
I have bought & sold many boss pedals (currently have 11) & none of them ever gave me any problems.

actually im new here in the forum...my first forum ever...lol
so u all can tegur wutever shit im doing wrong here...

about my pedal..the plug i used is the same voltage..but the current is different..
that causes the pedal to blew...i think...but anyway.. it still looks nice like new..
i only heard the sound like POP then the smoke appear...
i am hoping that the fuse inside that blew..so it may able to be repair..
but no idea la how...sayang la DS-1

Hehe... there is no fuse in the pedal la... so sorry about that...
The smoke is from the IC within... the pedal can no longer be saved.

i tought what explosion.. haha, pop only is it.

if land mine quite attractive lah.. will work, probably kills only musicians,
