Depends on starting gold. If starting gold is low, then intel hero. If it's high, perhaps Agi hero.


Troll and FV, we won't know who would win yet. Depends on personal skill, both have equal chance to win if both farm quite equally. Blind is only 42% miss. If the FV is smart, he will stay far away and use skill 1 to fly in and ulti, then you can't blind him.

As far as i remember, some of the skills ignore everything, like time stop, black hole...
Not sure about repel (never actually tried), but i think it also ignore by time stop.

Actually I've used Faceless Void before but I couldn't ulti because one of their team mate had repel. However I'm not sure if this has changed in newer version of maps (6.59c, 6.59d)

Given that money is unlimited and level is max out...

Phantom Assassin (Mortred) with MantaStyle (mana suck) + VladimirOffering (life steal) + Butterfly + ... basically pwn every hero if 1v1.

The passive evasion from skill + butterfly + radiance (if avail) is more than enough to nullify FV time stop advantage (more than half of the time miss miss miss), plus having mana suck is enough to disable Troll (Jahrakal) active-casting blind later on.

Don't forget the 4x critical.



Well, anyway, Troll mortal enemy is PA, so they should be roughly equal.

Item: butterfly + radiance for both characters:
PA passive miss = 1 - (1 - 0.3)(1 - 0.3)(1 - 0.08) = 0.5492 ~ 55% chance evasion

Troll passive miss = 1 - (1 - 0.3)(1 - 0.08) = 0.356 ~ 36% chance evasion
Troll passive miss + blind = 1 - (1 - 0.3)(1 - 0.08)(1 - 0.42) = 0.62648 ~ 63% chance evasion

I don't think PA can beat Troll assuming if Troll also have strong items.

I has never tried on repel at all. So i can't really answer it. But I am sure it works on BKB.

Evasion is not like bash or critical. Evasion DO NOT STACK at all. It will only take the highest one. And base on the latest map, bash also doesn't stack.


Troll blind only need very low mana, it's more like a battle of who hit first. On top of that, it very much depends on item. Radiance, butterfly is not always the best items out there. It would depends on the opponent item.

As you said, given unlimited money, I would say Lina with Refresher Orb, Max Dagon, Scepter, Guinsoo, and perhaps boot of travel, and a lothar or dagger would easily kill any of the troll or pa. Even if they get BKB, it's easy to run away with lothar or dagger when they BKB, and come back to spam all the spells. After spell reduction and stuff, at least 3000 damage. I don't think they can get anywhere near this amount of life.

Bro, newbie here, may anyone suggest me the hero that is nice? Because i just starting playing dota, the hero i usually use is only sandking, nerubian, and twin head dragon, may i know what item should be bought for these 3 hero? I only know buy battle fury, travel boots, dagon for them, can any one suggest any item to me to use on these 3 hero?

It very much depends on your playstyle...

Sand King - Normally Battlefury, BKB, then health item or dagger??? Some player would play damage item also...
Nerubian - Battlefury? Damage Item? Dagon?
Twin head dragon - Linken? Shiva guard? Guinsoo?

I dun think so...If troll or PA buy a BKB then Lina skill already no use...The best hero is still the hero that counter ur opponent's hero.

However for your case, Necro can die many times, but jugg die one time = end, 5 rapier drop. So the chance that you can survive with a equally skill player... is rare...

Obviously it'll always be "IF" Do you think everything in the game is pre-planned? Tell me an example of a situation in DOTA which is fixed and not "IF"

Please, if you don't understand how real time strategy game works, read up in google Don't tell me your item build for a particular hero is always fixed instead of looking at what the opponent's heroes are, etc. Does that mean every time you're using Treant Protector you'll buy refresher orb when your opponent has BKB?

You cant say any hero is the best 1vs1 hero. Everything depends on how u farm and how clever are you to use the hero u picked.

Skill is the most crucial thing you must have before ur hero.

I usually own people when I play allrandom because most of the people tend to just train a specific hero, so when they got the hero they never use before then they sucked.

But for me I train my skills. So I can use any hero in the game because I know when to use my skill and what am I supposed to do when i'm engaging with enemies.

Clockwerk can even 1 v 2. lol

It goes down to what item u have. His skill 1 can 1v1 but 1v2 is a noNono.

Faceless void if with full item and if he attack u first then u will be pawned!!!!!!!!!
and if he is attack first then will depends on the situation but in most situation he still pawned i say

depends on personal skill and they way the hero is played.

My vote to OD. Super fast farming from early to late, works well with hex and silent (both boost his int and dmg as well), easily one hit ko void and troll on late game, and can always banish and teleport b to home when losing fight.

Unless the opponent get bkb very fast (which will unlikely happen in front of the super farmer), if not OD can end game within 20-30 mins.

how bout es? stay far back spam 1st skill. for troll and fv to reach lvl 6 would be a lil difficult. ofcourse es wont drag the game xD

It all depends on the oppenent hero. it's hard to say which one is the best. Every hero has their own weaknesses and countering heroes.

even if u use bkb, fv's ult will still stop troll. assuming troll and fv have 3 butter, and all same items, fv will win. his ult and bash will kill troll.

troll got no bash? troll now got new 3rd skill... later his AS become so damn imba til perma stun u

by stats, fv owns troll. fv has more base dmg, hp, agil and armour.

fv bash is 25% bash per attack and stun 1 second, deal 70 dmg. (fv bash is obviously better)
troll bash is 10% bash per attack and stun 2 second deal, 50 dmg.

Your troll has to stand there doing nothing for 5 second, assuming fv timewalk and attack first. Attack speed owns for both heroes, depend on bash. fv's backtrack has 25% chances to dodge incoming dmg. together with ult, backtrack and bash, i believe troll will die. worse come to worse, fv can timewalk out from battle.

troll skills- berserker rage gains bonus damage, hit points, armor, cast this during battle with fv, you wasted 1 second. Blind is useless coz once you cast, u waste another 1 second to attack fv, fv will continue bashing you. Troll cast ult wasted another 1 second. Whether u can cast any spell also a problem when fighting fv.

Analyse this. Fv can walk in and out from battle anytime. Timewalk casting time is 1 second. fv has the upper hand because he start attack first, 5 second stop and higher dmg.

viper is the best hero 1v1. can win with any hero in under 20mins.
2nd best is thinker or nevermore.

i play g.raena 1v1 challenge for 3 season.
the best place ive ever get is 3rd place.

so i think i know a lot about 1v1..

i think viper troll fv can all anti by 1 hero:Bane Elemental

his sleep and 1st skill make troll & fv ulti useless

viper troll fv and nevermore all soft, bane use combo they die


BANE can even kill them without any item

but i think tinker can simply kill bane

viper troll fv can also anti by tanker hero with blade mail

however it depends on the player

best 1 on 1 hero in winning the game is Teddy bear syllabear..

ur hero wont even get to come close to me and my teddy bear can tank and bring down ur tower

You think your sleep is faster than fv's timewalk and ult? he timewalk and ult- attack you 5 sec, after that he can also go bkb, activate bkb after his ult over. Can your bane do anything? timewalk distance 1300

Added on July 18, 2009, 12:40 amfv can counter enemy blademail with heart (item that boost hp ((fv use his own hp to kill)) and opt for critical dmg, buriza). Unless you are centaur with 2 hearts and 3 blademail, 1 thread or phase boot (max possible item). I will opt to kill all your team member before coming for you.

fv and troll have the best late game attributes. thats why ppl are debating whether troll or fv. Your teddy bear cannot last la.

Well, bane can absorb viper hp and sleep. Bane might not be able to kill viper, but viper definitely not able to kill bane.

if they are melee, use nerubin assassin, learn return damage and boost health. if they are range, perhaps viper, enchantress. btw, normally mode for 1 on 1 is apomnp
and should choose hero in bewteen certain time frame. the monet start should be 875. not 4k

how about spectre?
just have ready a bottle wif illusions or manta wif the disperse aura and the extra damage skill. it works on illu.

i think all this troll and fv talk is useless.. it depends on how well you farm.. if you get harrassed like hell early game i don't think you can get all those luxurious imba items laa.. just my two cents..

if you want to win 1v1 by pushing the towers, i think krobelus would be a safe bet.. can harrass with her 1st skill as well.. can silent hero.. quite ok what..

if go by push game, with 875 gold at the beginning, i think keeper of light or furion would be a good pushing hero.

Keeper can pressure the enemy like hell without have to worry mana. And furion can summon so many "ma zai" to push.

Another one could be broodmother, early game can invi and use skill 1 to push (consider only mid lah).

broodmother is a good pusher.. but i still think krobelus is better due to the "creep sweeping" skill and silencing.. lol
