Arsenal Target Juventus Duo Buffon & Chiellini - Report
Rumours linking Arsenal with moves for Giorgio Chiellini and Gianluigi Buffon have resurfaced in the English press, according to Tuttomercatoweb.com. According to the report, two British papers have claimed Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is devising a plan to lure the Bianconeri duo to London. It's not the first time the Gunners have been linked with the Juve defender. He was also the subject of great speculation during last summer's transfer market. In addition, voices claim Wenger has also added Buffon to his summer wish list with a €20million bid being touted for the goalkeeper. Juventus have always maintained they would not sell their star duo. Both men are a big part of the club's plans for the future, and it seems highly unlikely that they would be willing to sell. Also, the reported €20m figure for Buffon seems a far cry from what the club are likely to demand for their man according to reports around Italy. It was not too long ago that Juve reportedly rejected a massive €75m bid from Manchester City for the custodian. Source: Goal.com I'll be dreaming of that 2nite! |

QUOTE(Azurues @ Jun 20 2009, 09:44 PM) Well henry era is over in arsenal.Just remember him as a permanent legend. Nop...not this season...it was 2 seasons ago when arsenal lost to chelsea in league cup final...toure got sent off so fab took the captain armband! Now,i see Arshavin as the new possible Henry instead. He might not have the instinct killer looks but he surely had the legs and skills too Anyway from the vid,i see Henry hugging fabregas when he is in his captain band which should be this season. But somehow i don't remember when hmm |

I believe cesc will leave arsenal one day but when will it come? After he wins a lot of trophies 1st! Like wenger said, he let henry go cause he contributed so much while cesc haven't really archieve anything with the club!

QUOTE(lostasylum @ Jul 9 2009, 09:42 AM) to be honest, i don't know what is the motive behind usmanov's suggestion....but regardless of his intentions, i'm glad that the arsenal board gave due diligence to the suggestion, considered everything and then revealed everything out in the open. i'm glad we didn't take usmanov's suggestion because that would've given us short term gain (more money for wenger, reduce debt at the moment), but it would also mean that in the overall picture, arsenal would've had one more creditor (i.e. usmanov and his millions) to worry about in the long term. Correct...As Arsene Wenger always says that he has the money but he doesn't likes to spend..He has been creative with the money he has and will not spend on those established players...He has a long term project to do and he always believes in MONEY WILL NOT BUY SUCCESS.. as far as i know, arsenal's debt management has been well maintained and carefully planned, which is why there is no urgent need to get some additional cash upfront. wenger has always worked well with the funds given to him and he's always been careful to keep the club's situation in mind when buying new players. perhaps those who want a sugar daddy would be cursing right now, but i'm with the board in saying "thanks, but no thanks". we'll do it the arsenal way. =) |

It doesn't matter whether Arsenal is selling players to premier league rivals cause at the end of the day, eventhough Arsenal sells is to another foreign club, chances that the players might come back to premier league...for examples Anelka and Petit..also came back to premier league...what is matter the most is the cash...

I'm sure tht Arsene will bring a striker from the reserve...As he's very careful in spending, he might not spend any money and maybe wait till January transfer...That's what he has always been doin!

Maybe if Cana is good for sunderland, Wenger might buy him later...at least no need to wait for him to settle down! But sometimes if u r good for a club doesn't mean u r good for another club...take crespo, sheva and veron for example and u will see how this former world class players turned to a loser in premier league!
