Anyway any defensive signing is welcome for me at the moment IMO. Many people complain about his height but IMO you don't necessarily have to be the tallest to be a good defender. Puyol comes to mind and even Gallas and Toure aren't the tallest of defenders to begin with either.

is Huntelaar really that good? i admit i did not watch him play for a long while now but from my memories i remember him being the poacher type of a striker. can someone who really watch Huntelaar on the more frequent occasions give their assessment to how well / not well Huntelaar will fit into our current team?

Er... Which RVP have you been watching? He's got the best left foot in the prem at the moment. His shots are at a blistering pace and almost unstoppable at times. He improved his right peg (or chocolate leg as he calls it) tremendously last season.

Finsihing cooly, ala Eduardo or Henry does not mean that they are better finishers. Robbie Fowler was said to be the best finisher in the game 10 years ago, but I remember he almost always went for power rather than placement. Heck, even Alan Shearer who had 3 seasons back to back with 30 goals never bothered with placement.

Sorry mate. Have to disagree with you the RVP part. Arshavin and RVP up front might work, if Arshavin is able to draw out the centrebacks left right centre, leaving RVP to do the finishing (which I know he is capable of).

It's a huge statement from Hleb about Wenger. As much as I believe that Wenger does well in creating talents, the maturity and consistency of the team would be the key elements for success. I don't think the departure of Ade would be costly as RVP, Eduardo, Vela and Bendtner can fill in the shoes of Ade easily. Let the season begin and we shall see!
