if there's any party that had been loyal, it's Arsenal Football Club. we've been pretty loyal and patient waiting for more than 1 year for Tomas to recover
Tomas had not proved his loyalty to Arsenal just yet

QUOTE(Quick` @ Jul 23 2009, 07:01 PM) thats 14m pounds i think thats alot already nope Quick, 14 million pound for a proven and experienced central defender in the form on Kolo Toure is not a lot i maintain my opinion that whoever that is having the final say on our player values for transfer having serious problem if player with the caliber of Kolo Toure being sold to the club that supposedly looking to knock us out of the top 4 in BPL being sold for just 14 million pound. that or Kolo having serious injury problem so that he have to go for cheap amount of transfer values relatively. QUOTE(alabais @ Jul 28 2009, 05:08 PM) I believe Toure will be a loyal servant for Arsenal. He's been rock solid for us for many years and without him this season would be the last thing that came across my mind. Let's hope he stays on. Kolo requested to be transfer listed last December. if he is a loyal servant as you put it, he would not do that, no? This post has been edited by toshio14: Jul 28 2009, 06:31 PM

QUOTE(jeff_v2 @ Jul 28 2009, 11:59 PM) AW - "We have seven centre-backs and I am in the position where I have to play some in midfield but of course Kolo is a very good player and we will see what will happen in the next 24 hours." gallas, sandy, djourou, vermaelen, song... anyone i miss out? gavin hoyte? toure will be a big miss for Arsenal, if Rio stop Terry from going to citeh why nobody stop toure move? its all about the money!!! damn citeh the "magnificent" 7 are Billy Gallas Kolo TV Johan Senderos Silvestre Alex Song and why did you damn citeh? if we do not accept the offer, this transfer cannot go through anyway, right? Kolo Toure for 16 million? if that is true, seriously something is wrong with our club

Zan, i actually do not agree with selling Ade for only 25 millions. but i tried very hard to convince myself that this means we are going to change our way of playing by removing our top striker from our club. and i actually managed to convince myself with that even though the amount 25 millions still frustrated the hell out of me
but now seems like we also selling Kolo. again to Manchester City, a club which being talked up to take our place in the top 4. why or why we are weakening our side squad-wise and strengthening them at the same time? and just 16 million pound for a proven defender in BPL in the form of Kolo?
i know this is yet to be confirmed but it does looks like it will go through now. it is very hard to convince myself again by the looks of all the happening at our club

QUOTE(lostasylum @ Jul 29 2009, 12:30 AM) for me, the sale of ade was ok for me... but i feel a little more for this story about toure, especially since we don't really have proven, consistent EPL CBs in our ranks (besides gallas). again, if we sell toure and buy from abroad we have to give them time to adapt to the EPL, to their new team mates, to the arsenal style of play, etc... and with the way the EPL is played now, we can't afford to lose more than 4 games per season if we want to challenge for the EPL title..... for me, if Kolo leaves for Citeh we MUST bring a ready-made replacement. if not we are putting our hope of a successful season over TV doing a Sagna or Johan doing a Flamini. sudahlah we already hope for Denilson doing a Flamini if we did not bring a ready made partner for Cesc

QUOTE(lostasylum @ Jul 29 2009, 01:06 AM) the faint glimmer of hope for me is that there is still time in the transfer window before the season starts and i hope that something will happen for us where we get players instead of us selling players... trying hard to trust wenger and stay positive... same goes for me, the window is still open even though i am never a fan of bringing new players into the team late another thing that give me hope is even though le Boss said we already have so many centre back until he has to play some in midfield, i never ever believe what le Boss said regarding transfer to the media
