Hi guys, I've been living in New Zealand for three years and I fell like helping out any Malaysians that want to visit NZ. I heard that MAS is having a promotion for return trip to Auckland currently (2700MYR return). So if guys have any questions, just ask me. I will answer them here. I think it's enough. I covered the whole SI with a couple of friends in 6 days, but my friend had to drive all day and it was very tiring. But you're very lucky, because you're going in the summer. It won't be dark until around 9 p.m so you would have lots of time for sightseeing! Do you have any plan so far? If you like animals I suggest you go to SI east coast. Kaikoura(seals & whales), and Oamaru & Dunedin(lots of penguins in the summer). The west coast has the famous Fox & Franz Josef glacier.

When I went there last year, we went from Chch-Dunedin-Queesntown-Franz Josef-Hokitika-Kaikoura-Chch again. It was very tiring but worth it. My highlight of the trip was Hokitika Gorge, it was absolutely stunning. I will include Pics when I get home in a couple of hours. Hokitika town itself has nothing though, but the gorge is well worth the detour IMO.
