my few experience dealing with local optical shops..

Opulence in IOI Mall gave the best customer service...for wide selection of "limited/special edition" oaks...check out England optical in Mid Valley...

I usually go to Reliance in Bangsar. Love their service.

I've not bought anything from England Optical but they do have good amount of Oakley too.

reliance bangsar is average from my point of view...nothing to shout about...
they carry alot of other brands, if you are looking for just oaks then yeah it's just average..but if you are opening to other varieties with decent price...reliance is worth dropping by....

england is more fun to "window shop" if you know what i mean hehe.. rclxms.gif

Buying from US seems tempting...I m looking for Hard-cover case for my Plaintiff and it seems that price quoted in Malaysia kinda pricey comparing to buying online.

Being such, any of u know where to get nice hard-cover case (ori/compatible...of course must b usable and cheap..hehe).....I open to all ideas...

If you physically buy from O store or any other authorised shop in the US then I personally think Revelstoke should accept it for warranty claim provided you can show the receipt...

Warranty comes from Revelstoke. From my last conversation with them few years back I was told that no proof of purchase from authorised shop means they won't accept the sunglasses even for servicing. I went there myself and spoke to the customer service lady.

On the other hand I also once spoken to a local "grey" importer here claims that the Oakley he sells there were no issue at all from Revelstoke not accepting it. How true I don't know as I have never had my oakleys required to be sent for warranty or had any issue.

What I see is, if you are concern on warranty...buy from authorised distributors...if budget is more important to you then save the 100-200 bucks for a grey import but make sure deep down inside your heart you truly believe it's really an original one...even if it's not you gotta tell yourself it is because you made that decision...And of course accept the risk if Revelstoke reject you if your Oakley required warranty claim...

unfortunately, oakley.com don't accept non US credit card nor ship out of US. Use any agent like comgateway and the total cost came to only about 80 bucks cheaper compare to buying from Focus Point. Done that myself...I find it...very stressful because of the waiting time and low savings lol...

I find this below method works better for these little savings:
if you are a Bonuslink card holder..

4800 BonusLink Points = Focus Point RM50 Cash Voucher

it's easily achieved in 1 year for me who only use it once a week for petrol...so if you have a whole family driving..supp them the card and get them to pump only Shell..this can easily help you buy an Oakley cheaper than from anywhere out of Malaysia..ORI with receipt and warranty... rclxms.gif

damn I feel like some stingy auntie trying to save on every penny but this method works for me...heh

i traded in my broken Ti wiretap in before...basically it broke at the temple after years of adjusting.
and i had no receipt, but revelstoke still accepted.
of cos it was slightly more expensive without a receipt, but it was still cheaper than buying another grey import Ti wiretap.
and i got 6 months warranty with it.

btw, the SG distro for oakley also accepts such trade-ins, and it's much cheaper than revelstoke...
even if u take bus go down and back up, u still save abit...just all the hours wasted to do it is of cos not worth it tongue.gif

dec 2011.
so yea, basically i still got 1 more month warranty left.

tho one thing i notice, my old black Ti wiretap was stiffer than my current pewter Ti wiretap.

now also looking for oakley bracket, cos that seems to be the only other one that can fit me apart from wiretap...and its asian sizing so better.
