QUOTE(rideon @ Jun 16 2009, 02:31 PM) just a survey... how many of u guys like to have some deco in ur scorps tanks... how bout background? like on of those exoterra background things... hmm for me the simpler the better when ur numbers increases .... deco increases ur time in maintaining the setup imo, if one or two .. fancy deco vs maintaining setup is still ok

QUOTE(rafiqos @ Jun 16 2009, 08:26 AM) I'm trying to acquire some new barkscorpions. Any ideas on a communal setup for 5-6 adult and a few subadult Striped Bark Scorpion ( Centruroides vittatus)? These guys are climbers and will tolerate low humidity. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « A picture of my old male. i believe this setup is super communal, very dry and climb-proof. the reason y i ask for ur opinion in backgroud deco is that a friend of mine is doing making backgrounds for reptiles and what not... so kinda wanted to know how many people in here interested in them... Not only for scorps and reptiles but anythings... hmm.. i want hadrurus arizonensis too but nothing to trade with and i heard its kinda hard to take care...

well i am planning to use it on my afs only... others are rather dangerous or just use half of it..
Added on June 16, 2009, 8:12 pmyeap exactly like that... with many designs... but he didnt use concrete as its damn heavy when dry.. he uses plaster... less weight... well depend on the size of your tank la..

i found something in my enclosure. it looks like a small worm crawling around. and there is a colony of it. it is eating a dead mealworm. i wonder what it is. for safety reasons i have transfered all the afs to a holding enclosure.

It happened on me once, they are only devouring the dead mealworm, not going after my scorp... yet I throw the whole substrate with them in hot boiling water lol It happen because the substrate too wet+ bad ventilation i think...

More likely an infestation of nematodes. Maggots wiggle about.
