QUOTE(li-ion65 @ May 23 2009, 12:48 PM) hey guys...N82 don have 'pencil' button to mark/unmark selection....my frenz ask if upgrade to v31 in gallery juz press # to mark/unmark...is it true?? To highlight text, hold the # button, then press the left or right key to highlight. If you release the # key after you are done, the left softkey will be your Options key. If you are still holding the # key, the left softkey is your Copy key.To mark several items say in your Inbox, hold the # button and press up or down. Otherwise, navigate to the item you want to mark/unmark, hold the # button then press the center button. Marking/unmarking in the gallery is easier, just press the # button on the video or image. I suppose this works in all firmware, I'm on 20.0.062 and it's working fine. |

I didn't know you can mark with that method in Inbox (and it goes the same in File Manager!!) after six months of owning the phone. T__T Somehow I don't think I come across this in the user manual...waste time deleting one by one..=.= Grr.. |

QUOTE(DaViDcHiN @ May 23 2009, 10:35 PM) Er, I am buying a second hand n82 soon, may I know what I have to be careful about? I will follow the instruction of the garage sales to check the phone, but is there any other common problem that I should be concerned about? Garmin XT is a GPS software, N82 has built-in GPS but doesn't comes with Garmin installed. You have to purchase it (or otherwise Google) and install it on your own. No idea how much it is though, if you're wanting to buy it.How about Garmin XT? I found that some N82 have it but some don't(I thought it is a built-in software), is it a freeware or have to buy it? If yes how much? QUOTE(fongzai92 @ May 24 2009, 12:30 AM) RM55.QUOTE(hwchua @ May 24 2009, 12:39 AM) Me Me Me! What card you're using? I'm on 8GB Toshiba Class 4 SDHC. One of my reason to get the 8GB card is to record more videos, and this saddens me |

I don't use crystal case for my N82, looks ugly to me. I use screen protector material for N82's body. Won't make your phone looks bulky. But then it's only good for preventing scratches, not falling or baling to the wall and sepak sepak it.

Received the battery too. The battery's skin looks kind of cheap, and the pull thing is not necessary in my opinion, it makes the cover hard to snap in. I didn't charge and start using already. No heat issues, on speaker for song playback for 20 minutes and the heat is less than when I'm using the original battery, unexpected.

QUOTE(AceCombat @ May 26 2009, 05:41 PM) Bro,for better lifespan of the battery,it's recommend to do review after few time charges, i mean, full charge then fully use it until it drained out then charge again, then only begin the test Not the sticker design, I mean the material, looks like those that can peel off easily cheapo stuff. I don't know, but I can pop up the original battery with no effort, maybe you used the wrong way? Not hard to close the cover, just that I need to use more strength than normal, maybe it's the puller than cause it to be tight.it has some more weight than original one but i dont think u mind it right? anyway,i think the sticker is a good design,i found out that the original battery is very hard to take off and with the puller,i can remove the battery easily and i didnt find out any problem closing the battery cover back wor, since it's a flexible plastic type it's good quality battery,u try to use it with flashes when taking pictures, around 30 flashes u will find out the N82 is heat up but the battery dont I agree on the heat part, doesn't get hot easily, slightly better than the original battery in my opinion. |

QUOTE(the100308 @ May 27 2009, 01:50 PM) What makes you think you have to let them know? Just walk into any Maybank and bank in. I snap the battery into my phone right away after I receive it, drain it, then charge it. |

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ May 28 2009, 05:20 PM) Currently running twibble on my PC. Thinking whether to try on mobile or not. But it only supports Twitter. Which app you using currently for FB and twitter ? I use m.facebook.com too for FB. For Twitter, I use Twittix. I use ShoZu to upload to Facebook and CC to Ovi.For FB, I browse using default browser m.facebook.com To upload instant pics, I use Shozu Any other recommendation ? I'm now looking for something that will integrate updates from both FB and Twitter, so that there is no need to open two separate apps. |

QUOTE(tun @ May 28 2009, 07:42 PM) Free, you can use it to upload your pictures or videos to numerous websites at a time. Especially for Facebook, since there is no other way to upload photos to Facebook right from your phone unless you go to non-mobile Facebook full website.http://www.shozu.com/portal/index.do |

QUOTE(christcwl9 @ May 28 2009, 09:37 PM) Then upload using wifi?? or 3g?? can upload to blogger?? and why do i have to create a new account de?? Wi-Fi or 3G. Blogger is supported. You have to create a ShoZu account, and set up the websites you want to upload to. From your phone, you upload using your ShoZu account, and ShoZu will upload them to the targeted websites. |

QUOTE(christcwl9 @ May 28 2009, 10:51 PM) Then will i have to wait for some time?? like around few hours before the pics are uploaded in blogger??? I don't think so, for both your questions. Most probably it will be uploaded instantly. Why not just try it, it's free anyways. The only thing I don't like is the very first time I use it, it goes online automatically using 3G, without asking me first. After changing the settings it's fine now.Hey, does N82 got face detection ?? For face detection, it's not likely. Does anyone know any app for torch light. The ones that brighten the screen as bright as possible and stays until you close it. |

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ May 29 2009, 11:08 AM) Mine takes longer, 1 hour 30-45 minutes.QUOTE(cute_boboi @ May 29 2009, 11:22 AM) (Green) Tip of the day: Unplug your charger! Does switching it off do the trick or it must be unplugged from the power source? Yes, it will cut off, but the charger itself consumes some energy itself:![]() » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « From my understanding, once the device is full charged, it will cut-off and will not allow the charger to continue feed power to charge it. Unlike previous technology 10 years ago where you can keep charging. I believe once it is fully charged in 1.5 hours, it is the same if you leave it plug in for another 10 hours. No additional continuous charging will go in, until the device battery goes below the threshold and a normal-loop charging cycle begins again. "It seems that when leaving the charger plugged in (not connected to the phone), it will still consume some energy" |

First low battery warning of 67 hours of usage. Each day's usage around 30 minutes Wi-Fi (Opera Mini, Gmail, Twittix) and around 20 minutes of mp3 playback via speaker at 70%.
Will change back to my old battery and compare later. |
