QUOTE(naleh33 @ Jun 10 2009, 11:28 PM) Has anyone tried to hook up their new S10K to the PC for display or console like PS2, PS3? i hook it using DVI to HDMI converter, PQ was great during movie playback and reflection is barely noticeable. BTW, any S10K user heard some noise came from the rear side of plasma, near the power socket area? |

QUOTE(ronaldjoe @ Jun 10 2009, 11:51 PM) Currently using hdmi - hdmi native 1080p 1:1 pixel pc input. what's wrong with ur set?Native hdmi from ATI 4000 series with 7.1. So far so good and colour was slowly improving as tv hasn't fully 'break in' yet. But bad as the tv is now with Panasonic for warranty claim. Hopefully I can get it back tomorrow. |

How long break in period for this P42S10K? I'm using EA Plasma Break-in DVD images which stored in SD card, can anyone share the setting used for break in?

QUOTE(kianwee @ Jun 11 2009, 02:54 PM) Simple, to age the plasma phosphor quickly and evenly. Of course you can use lower contrast and brightness, but instead of break in 120 hours you might need to break in 240 hours. But this only applies if you use the break in images or video. If you intend to break in by watching movies, then lower down your contrast and brightness, but it will take ages to complete. what about other setting like sharpness, colour, colour balance, colour management and Noise Reduction? Thanks for the great explanation. |

QUOTE(jackhammer84 @ Jun 29 2009, 04:48 PM) just got my unit, together with the DMP-BD60 promo, and here's my mini review: yea, the buzzing sound not very noticeable unless silent environment. No any other user having the same buzzing sound coming out from rear side of the plasma?no probs at all, great picture quality with HD video (from ps3 via HDMI). DVD playback on the BD60 and the resultant picture quality looks great. ASTRO quality looks decent enough, looks great with sports, no lag whatsoever. only nagging thing is, there's a slight buzzing sound when i watch ASTRO. very faint, not very noticeable, unless you stand right next to the TV. i think some ppl have reported the same thing on this thread. this doesn't occur during DVD/BD playback or any other HDMI or AV source. just ASTRO, so i'm suspecting it's either the quality of ASTRO's broadcast or there's a problem with the composite (audio) cable linking the ASTRO decoder with the TV. all-in-all, great buy. extremely happy with purchase and should come highly recommended. |
