This is 4:3 ratio. Dunno how they do it.. The pixel is in 4:3 ratio but the screen is 16:9.

No. If ASTRO upgrade 100%, (don't know what its means, maybe 100% HDMI) all LCD/Plasma TV should be able to use it. + New astro decoder do come with component output which is analog.
