If you're using NVDIA graphics card in Vista, after connecting the cable you should hear a sound akin to that of connecting a USB device. Then go to the NVDIA control panel (right-click on desktop ---> NVIDIA Control Panel), on the left column, choose "Set Up Multiple Display", then on the right side, choose to set up the displays differently (third option I think) and at the drop down menu below, choose the option with your monitor as the primary device and your TV as the secondary device. Click apply and you should see ypur TV displaying your desktop wallpaper ith nothing else on it. The go to change resolution on the left colum of the control panel and select your panasonic TV on the right hand side to double check if the resolution is displaying correctly (Should be 1920x1080, if not then change it to that.). Next play any video file on WMP or MPC of whatever software you like. The click and drag the video playing software to your right until it goes out of the screen and into your TV (takes some practice). You should also see your mouse in your tv. Set to full screen and enjoy your movie Initially I wanted to get astro along with this TV, but I also felt that it's a waste if I don't watch FULL HD with the TV. So in the end, I did not get astro, instead I'm watching 1080P and 720P films from my PC instead. Also, I don't have a home theatre system, so instead, I set up my Creative 5.1 speakers around the TV and so far so good. I enjoyed watching my movies and anime very much. I tried crysis on the TV once, and it made sniping a breeze. hehe. I plan to install astro once they start their HD service. Almost there.... 180+hours...... Mus..t... wat..ch.... mo.reee..... Added on August 24, 2009, 9:02 amedit: Any sifus here can advise me on this issue? If I watch 4:3 or movie that that do not fill up the whole screen, leaving black bars either horizontally or vertically, will that damage (such as burn-in) or cause the areas at the black bars to be brighter or dimme rthan the rest of the screen? Thanks. ya i think if you keep doing that and watching movies with the black bars, the black bar areas won't age, so you will notice a difference between the aged areas and the area that aren't aged.
