depends on yr video source la...  if Full HD, then 42" is just right for 5-6 ft.  SD add another 1-2 ft oso can.  if astro, sit as far as possible to get the optimum picture quality  laugh.gif

if you are not demanding 42" for around 10 ft shud still make the cut la, dun worry.  BTW, what's yr current TV size?
*
hehe...current tv only 25" :rolleyes

also thinking of buying either a PS3 or blu-ray player. which should i get? some player already can get less than RM1k.

any sort of special cable i should be getting along with the S10K e.g. HDMI etc?

also can recommend any 5.1 speakers system for budget below 1.5k-1k or below? icon_question.gif tongue.gif

50" also too small, should consider 60" if budget is not an issue

wow 50" also too small for 10ft distance...... rclxub.gif hehe...nvm i'm upgrading from 25". i believe 42" would b a big improvement.

btw, was at Senq comparing X10K and S10K with astro. x10k display better PQ compared to S10k (a lot of pixellation). the assistant said it's becos x10k resolution lower like astro. s10k higher reso so when watching astro which is of lower reso, that's why not clear. is this true?

when questioned further about the cable used, he said x10k using monster cable where else s10k only using s-video cable. so this is the real reason right?

kinda worried about the PQ when watching astro.... whistling.gif

hopefully some sifus here can share their experience. planning to get the s10k tomoro. smile.gif

To all sifus, if u cannot see the dead pixel from 5ft or 6ft away then it is not a problem because only 1 dead pixel in a full hd which is 1920 x 1080 ...is it truth? sad.gif

i hope i can get a replacement for the panel or a fix since my seller is going to make a report to panasonic on tuesday...just hope panasonic got good service there unsure.gif

dude....hopefully iamsobloodysick can settle yr problem fast. planning to pay him a visit tomoro. will check with him about the extended warranty.

Pana after sales service is top notch. No doubt about that. Toshiba and Sharp is quite good too.

Anyway, back to the topic. I do not understand why Pana came out with 42S10 LCD TV. They should have use a diff model name in order not to confuse the masses

yalor X and S when say it out is quite the same...always have to say X-ray or Singapore to clarify which model doh.gif biggrin.gif

also i'm still deciding what else to buy to complement my s10k. hope u guys can give some recommendation :-

1. PS3 or BD player?
2. HTib or dedicated receiver + 5.1 speakers?
3. WDTV or Xtreamer or Playon!HD

hehe pening lah rclxub.gif
