Last night went to USJ Taipan SenQ, they put 42" X and S side by side and demo from the same source.
To my surprise, The X has much better PQ compare to S. The X color is more vivid, contrast is ok, image is sharp, black is black.
But the S color looks dull, image looks blur, black becomes gray.
All setting are default.
You know what they do?
I think they are desparated to push X , maybe more commission?
People don't know much about specs, might fall for their trick.

I also noticed that the X somehow looks better.. this was not at SenQ but somewhere else.. didn't check properly to see if they purposely set it that way though..

Just to be sure.. I went to a few shops to review the S10k.. but every place I went to, it seems that the colours of this model is somewhat washed out.. the picture quality is not as crisp as I would imagine and the colours are bland and not very accurate.. anyone else experienced this?

I order it for RM6000.  Really difficult to find any lower price here in Miri.  I can get RM5800 in Kuching but need to send to Miri so additional transportation charges.

The 50S10 is out of stock everyhere.

The 50S looks better to my eyes than the 50X... which should be obvious..

But the 42S doesn't seem to be better than the 42X..

Maybe it's just calibration... but then, it should look better out of the box, shouldn't it?

Paid a visit to one of the local electronic shops.. according to the sales guy, Panasonic will be launching new models soon.. and phasing out the current models.
