Nope you can only use 3G apn which is diginet.... I tried the other apn it won't connect. yes when you put in HSDPA modem it can work
*
3G APN is not diginet, diginet is actually for EDGE. I think it has upgraded from EDGE to HSDPA.
For those real HSDPA subscribers, they will use another APN which we (EDGE users) cannot connect to that APN. smile.gif

I have both my DiGi Postpaid Ambassador Plan and DiGi Campus activated for 3G but only use DiGi Campus for Internet surfing.

Package: DiGi Campus, RM 30/month and unlimited download, no FUP
Modem: ZTE MF622

Remember it is RM 1 for the modem and you still need to pay RM 58 for 1 month of Explore plan subscription. The good thing is no contract is attached.

what is the FUP ?
thanks u !!

Fair Usage Policy, a bandwidth limit set by the respective providers. It is actually a rule set by MCMC whereby all wireless providers need to allocate certain limit for its users.

because i'm really no use it,just keep for backup... because my area the bb signal dont have only have the 3G signal but the 3G line no very good.
wait for have the bb signal then i can use back, because the digi huawei e1550 modem in totally price rm59 still is value for money ..
*
Yes, can go to DiGi Centre to terminate it.

3G signal is broadband signal right? Unless your "bb" means other thing.
Well, you can lock your signal to only WCDMA or UMTS. Then, your line will be more stable.

yup,i have a question , u been try to no broadband coverage place try your broadband ?
2)if terminated ,have to pay the terminated or service for terminated fee ?

thanks u !
*
Bolded part - Sorry, I don't understand. Please use simpler yet more understandable English. smile.gif
I believe no fees is required but I think you need to pay RM 10 as stamp fees in your first bill. That is a mandatory fee for all postpaid plans, regardless any telco.

thanks u , apologies here my english is poor ....  thanks u understand me .. smile.gif

Yes, then you can use EDGE. Slower than HSDPA but very stable, I was using that before activating my HSDPA. I'm still using it when I'm back to my hometown. smile.gif

QUOTE(twL @ Nov 15 2009, 02:27 AM)
yes, as i know u still can use edge,
but i don know need any setting o not,
i tried to use on my digi prepaid,
but failed..

Added on November 15, 2009, 2:28 am

even i jz wan 2 use edge,
but not 3g also have to activate?
*
Yes, need to get phone settings from customer service. These settings are in a package whereby for MMS and WAP too. So, just tell them your phone model and they will send the settings to your phone. Then just accept and activate it. After that, you can plug in to your modem to use.

Sometimes you do not need such settings. Try this first if can't then only follow my advice stated above.

Dial number: *99#
APN: diginet

Other fields can be left unfilled.

You not going?
wow I didn't know MCMC set the data capping rules
Digi Internet and Digi 3G are different stuff. and yes like i said above I might actually terminate today as I almost reach the 3GB quota sweat.gif
*
Nope, not going. One modem is sufficient. laugh.gif Purposely go to 1U to register. tongue.gif
Yes, it is set by MCMC to allow fair sharing among all users. smile.gif
Er. You are not using DiGi Campus? I thought you are. hmm.gif
I think one person is only entitled for one modem. smile.gif

The next month will be counted prorated charges if you do not fulfill full one month of subscription.

Prorated charges = total your days of using/30 daysxRM 58

oh so if I cancel it tomorrow I might actually pay for less than 59 for the modem? This thing is kinda confusing... at most we will be charged 1 month plus the prorated charges and RM1 right?
*
I think first month of RM 58 you cannot escape because you will be paying on the spot already.

QUOTE(twL @ Nov 15 2009, 02:10 PM)
this is what i get from their website..

and may i know,
how can i apply OCS for my broadband?
i do not see any network id from my sim card as they mentioned,
and the number would start with 014/016..
*
Then you gotta wait for your first bill then.
Or try calling CS using the SIM card?

if ur account activate on yesterday,
i think u jz need to pay RM58/30x2+RM10(stamp duty)=around RM14.

i wanna test the broadband at my area,
i wound pay for it on next month,
still worth to get the modem by RM70+,
right?
*
If like this, then it is very worth it. Can sell the modems out later.
But too bad I'm lazy to queue up and cancel the subscription tomorrow. :lolL

Yes, just activate your 3G will allow you to make video calls too, if I'm not mistaken.
Haven't tried on video call before.

Previous 2 months ago, only DiGi staffs can surf 3G on their phones because they were doing testing for DiGi.
It is now opened to everyone, so nothing special already.
