Today do speedtest again.

Speed normalized liao. Back to 384k down as expected for Data Unlimited plan sad.gif

user posted image

Strangly tho, phone still show HSDPA active even at this speed.

Or maybe I hit bandwidth cap.
*
It is considered good if you can get 0.38Mbps for your EDGE. Supposedly you will be getting only around 220kbps.
Usually 384kbps is for 3G speed. smile.gif

True, true. But thing is, I'm on Digi's 3G signal. That's why hit 0.38. Last week up until yesterday can hit up to 1.5MB/s. Looks like Digi has finally started to cap the speed.

Hopefully this also means that Digi is getting close to launching 3G.
*
HSPA broadband has already been launched months back, though only limited to few locations in Malaysia.
They are now expanding to 3G on phone whereby we can surf from phone using 3G speed and concurrently rolling out its 3G video call. smile.gif

QUOTE(bsb85my @ Oct 8 2009, 09:31 PM)
i have few ques here.
today i just changed my prepaid to postpaid plan..and of course my line is principle line.
as wat i've knw, the charges (voice & sms) are free within principle line and supplemental line. Here are my ques:

1. Is the both prin line and sup line MUST be postpaid??
2. Now my line is main line. Can my supplemental line be a Prepaid Digi line??

Coz today the guy who help me to do my line conversion told me tat there is NO Postpaid-to-Prepaid...It MUSt be Postpaid-to-Postpaid
*
Err.. It has supplementary prepaid line, that is the latest DiGi Family Plan. However you must have at least DG 50 as your principal line.

Wait, is your supplementary line a prepaid now? Then you can straight change to the latest Family plan but if your supplementary line is a postpaid, then you can't because DiGi doesn't allow postpaid to prepaid conversion, only prepaid to postpaid conversion.

If you really want to change from postpaid to prepaid, then you gotta port to other telco and later switch back to DiGi. That's the only solution.

Not necessary, prepaid can be the supplementary line too. You can go to other dealer or better straight go to DiGi Centre to register for your girlfriend.

No, any call/SMS/MMS between you and her are unlimited free.

Register an account at http://www.digi.com.my/ocs

The bill can be viewed there. Also, you may dial *128*1*1# from your phone to know your latest charges.

i am using prepaid, the outgoing call already expired..they are still about RM100 credit inside..my question is they any way if let say i reload RM10, the total credit would be RM110 with 10 days validity period, and then i want to use RM30 to extend the validity period to 1 year just like maxis, is there any such thing with digi?
*
RM 10 will give you 30 days validity.
Yes, but you need to subscribe to the latest RM 1 plan. Then you can subscribe to Super Long Life.

QUOTE(2kia @ Oct 11 2009, 09:01 PM)
it was, but now apparently they're charging rm2 per song EVERY MONTH.

back then it'd be rm3 every month regardless of how many caller tunes u have.

but apparently now if u have 6 songs like me, u'd be charged rm12 just for caller tunes itself every month.

vmad.gif
*
Is it? Didn't notice that. laugh.gif
Anyway, I just have one caller tune song. laugh.gif

*
From *128*1*1#, your current balance is RM xxx (the one you owe them) and your unbilled amount is RM xxx (the one is still calculating for this month).

Usually for SMS I'll use + instead of 00. Only use 00 when calling an overseas number.

QUOTE(DeanKueh @ Oct 14 2009, 04:58 PM)
Is DiGi 3G available yet?

Because my friend's using DiGi prepaid with a 64k simcard and is able to have 3.5G and 3G signal easily. It somehow only displays 3G/3.5G signal with her simcard. I've tried swapping sims and placing it into mine and it displays the 3G network mode.

Could dis possibly mean that DiGi has missconfigured her DiGi profile?

reporting from kk,sabah
*
Yes, HSDPA broadband has already available and launched for months in Klang Valley, Penang and KK. So, it is not rare for you to see that happens in KK.

No misconfiguration. In fact, surfing on phone via HSDPA and video call will be out very soon, they are now in the midst of testing. So be patient. smile.gif

hi guys...wanna ask that now digi prepaid still have the RM100 for 1 year promotion? helping my mum to ask..cos she seldom make phone calls...thanks  smile.gif
*
No. For now, it is RM 30.00. It is a fee and not credit, that means it will be deducted one shot. However, in order to get that, you must first subscribe to its latest DiGi prepaid plan, hit the RM 1 plan. More information can refer to post #2 on the front page.

I told my mum her DiGi will be the same like her old Hotlink, she gone ohmy.gif

Well, I told her to switch back to Hotlink but after knowing I won't be able to talk to her for free (because I get free RM 50/month for DiGi usage), also she is using Super FnF, it enables her to add in 11 DiGi + 4 non-DiGi number. Too bad, Hotlink doesn't allow to add in other telco's numbers.

She said it's fine with her just extra RM 0.03 from Hotlink. laugh.gif

QUOTE(Privatesale @ Oct 23 2009, 11:27 PM)
I am quite fed up with Digi as well.

Nowadays they like to bar my line every month due to "not fully settle full amount for each bill". So basically even if the amount owing is less than 1 mth, also bar...causing so much inconvenience.

I asked them what is their barring policy and they put a letter to me in black and white, as long as owing for last bill, they can bar.

Told them even if i'm gold member lah...even after 6-7 years with Digi lah...also useless, like ur talking to a robot each time. NOHUMANTOUCH!

Since they are so IMPERSONAL and also since they don't need to please a customer like me..it's ok, I can spend my RM300 monthly at max** or other telcos (and also since i can port my number to the other telco FOREVER!)
*
Well, my line only got barred yesterday (23.10.09), I didn't pay my September bill, my billing cycle is on every month's 8th.
I purposely didn't want to pay because I want to know how long the grace period is. tongue.gif Anyway, right after it was barred, I quickly made my payment via Maybank2u and called CS to unbar it. It was done in 10 minutes. thumbup.gif
