So this MO price is inclusive of tax if there is any? And it will not be more than this MO price, right?

Added on May 28, 2009, 10:15 am
MO price stated is all inclusive. Price shouldnt be more then MO price mentioned. Lets leave it as it is ok as i shouldnt have even posted anything unless everything is 100percent sure. But this taukeh htkaki la, buy subwoofer like buy bak chang suddenly order 2 biji so i was worried too many of u bought liao then we cant even get enough ppl for the MO (if it can be done) and i also cant fulfill my svs ultra dream.

I hope u all would spare me the bashing if the MO doesnt happen but i am really trying my best as i also wanna get 1 and up to now most of the obstacles have been solved.

Thanks for this MO attempt. Yes, I will support the MO (hopefully can save enough at current stituation). This is really deep poisoning. sad.gif

Can you help to check if the AS-EQ1 can be in MO? I am having the ultra dream as well. smile.gif What will be the PC13 MO price?

When taukeh Mega dropped by my pad, the SVS aint being properly calibrated yet. Now, it is almost being done. However, still pondering how the use some of the additional functions  hmm.gif

Here are 2 shots of the fine print on the box :

Btw, tested a bit this morning. DTS demo disc. 'Hero - Blue Room' and 'Master & Commander'. At -30dB, the sheer subsonic power can literally shake my head. That's a vast improvement after the YPAO and SPL meter calibration. Later, (if free) I shall test BD again. Oh yes, I stuffed a port block and the set it to run at 16Hz  whistling.gif
Still waiting for Bryanlee's confirmation for a shootout tomorrow  smile.gif

Did you make use of the single band Parametric Equalizer for room response calibration? I wonder if I did it correctly on my 20-39PC+ with the response cuve below.

The PEQ seems not able to fatten the curve total due to more than 1 peak occured. Not sure if an AVR with Audyssey MultEQ XT able to help on this??

The blue is before and purple is after adjusting the PEQ.

Still out of optimum adjustment. Best if you can control it +- 3db. You might need to do bass trap or move your sub around to get the smoothest response first before doing adjustment. The 31.5 hz is a typical room modal peak which can only be tame by bass trap.
*
Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately due to the constraint of my room setup, I have very little option of moving it around. Will try to find another possible spot..

Guess the shootout is staring now... and yes, if can post video on youtube will be great smile.gif

Boss, I have been contemplating of changing my amp instead as it may provide more significant improvement compared to investing in SVS EQ and another SVS sub (PC13-Ultra).

My current AVR does not support HD Audio nor does it have HDMI. Maybe you can be kind enough to check my current setup and provide some advice?

Can you please share your setup with us?  smile.gif
My setup :
Front : Mirage Omni 260
Center : Mirage Omni CC
Surround and rear :Mirage Omni FX
Sub : SVS 20-39 PC+
AVR : Pioneer VSX D2011
Source : TViX 4100SH, PS3

As you can see, I do not have any corner for the bolster sad.gif . My previous box sub was sitting between the center and front right speakers. I can move the bolster to the front right corner behind the speaker if I shift the whole screeen setup to the left a bit. But it will be quite a bit of work... sweat.gif So I will do it only if I know for sure it can give me a better result..

Nice setup Jack.

I would agree with your suggestion of changing the amp. With a new amp, supporting hdmi and latest audio decoding, you would be able to maximize the audio from bluray. I assume now you're not able to get lossless audio from your blu ray?
*
Thanks for the advice and am considering to get a new AVR with the the Audyssey thingie.. hoping it can help to equalize the sub as well. . You're right. I have not heard HD sound so far. sad.gif Was thinking to get a BD player with HD audio decode because my VSX has 7 pre-amp in, BD60 was it but then this oppo BDP-83 is now out.. sweat.gif

HTKAKI, will you be bringing back a BDP-83 from Singapore to poison us??

Excellent setup Jack. How big is your room? Ya, I be intrereste to set up a room like that as well.

Thanks. My room is about 11' x 19'. The 110" screen is kind of squeezing the front space a bit though.. wished i had a wider room.. smile.gif

Ermm, u r willin to change screen position jus to get a svs bin? I d jus as soon get de box n be done wif it.. I wouldnt venture to undertake such a big mod jus for a sub change..

Yes, the 2011 does have the 7 analog in and I do consider the bdp-83 option as well. I saw the deal happening at XtremePlace and quite interested. But I don't have plans to go down to S'pore any time soon. How to bring it back?

Hmm, I got not so good experience with my previous Rel Stadium II box sub, and feel that the cylinder SVS sub gives much better perfromance. Actually I also like the smaller footprint for the bin as well. it's just that the height got into the way when placed in front. Maybe I should audition a SVS box someday to see if it works for me...

I wouldn't be bringing BDP-83 as I would be busy.

How vast difference is PCM /Analog compares to bitstream? I bet megatron007 has the answer for you  tongue.gif  Taukeh, time to change your avr?  brows.gif

Yalor, thinking about it for long time oredi, but the 2011 is still kicking strong and I don't know how to justify to the HM... got trade-in deal or not?? I am eyeing the new Denon models,, any chance?

Thanks. Actually I am quite happy that I have finnally managed to DIY the manual mask for the screen to get the 2.39:1 ratio. Thought for it for many years before finally get it done without costing a bomb. It now makes watching movie with a lot more theater feel because of the "widescope". smile.gif

Somehow I got pyched to believe cylinder was better too, and that's why without thinking twice I ordered the PC+ when SVS got the export permit to ship direct to Malaysia for the model last year. So now, I am stuck with it and will not be easy to justify to the HM to change it to box again. sweat.gif

Guess I will put priority on getting the HD Audio now, and if can find time and the urge, move the bin to the front to test and make the meausrement to determine whether it's worthwhile to move the screen. Actually I shifted the screen myself up about 1 foot before. So I am well aware of what does it take. Basically it will be the cost of few wall plugs and a day of my time. Wish me luck.. nod.gif

How far back from the screen are u sitting?
If no trade in deal then just sell off 2nd hand in this forum or hifi4sale website.

Can share some details about your manual masking system? I suppose masks from top and bottom? What kind of dark material you used for the mask?
*
It's about 12feet away.

I won't dare to call it a masking system wub.gif It does cover top and bottom and it's basically just using right angle rack support. I guess it's only ok for dedicated dark room becasue if the room is well lit, you can clearly see the racks. Will try to take some pictures to show later. As for the material, it's actually from long black drapes that I bought from IKEA many years back. I bought it at that time to use it as curtain to darken and reduce the sound reflection at the near side wall when my setup was at the living room. The material is black enough but it definitely doesn't absorb light like black velvet material.

Got a feeling that someone will complain already as this is supposed to be the official subwoofer thread.. icon_rolleyes.gif

lets hope "1 of our forummer fr malaysia" gets the dealership for malaysia. It would be better for us as it may still be a hassle to get it from sg. esp. for those in central and northern malaysia.

Yes, let's hope "THE ONE" brows.gif gets it. thumbup.gif
