Just would like to share my DIY manual masking low cost soluton. Hope this can provide some ideas to anyone who wants to try DIY with minimal cost:

The pics below were over exposed on purpose. Otherwise the effect of the masking will not be apparent due to my cheapo camera sad.gif .

It's less than RM100 excluding the cloth material. I used the long (10' I think) black drapes I bought from IKEA years ago.

Yes, I was trying to figure out the best way to do it for many years as well. The challenge was really figuring out the suitble material, especially the minuimum 9' long, rigid and perfectly straight horizontal bar. Finally I found this metal track meant for closest sliding door ("rail track"). However it is still not rigid enough but at least it can hold horizontal straight line perfectly..

I believe it can work on any screen.. maybe someone can try it on pull down screen as well..
