Swapped my Velo with the SVS and did some quick testing. No tweaking yet. With the Velo, during the Skidoosh scene in Kung Fu Panda, I was like "Mehh... nothing to shout about". With the SVS, it was like "FUYYYOOOHHHH!"

Plus my dad came rushing into the room and was like "wadafak wuz dat?!?!?"

It's quite a lenghty discussion over the issue of subs in a given environment.

Frankly speaking, I thought my system was good (not great). Then came the 'wake-up call' of then plotted graph. WTF... with those valleys?!    Peaks still negligible. In came the AS-EQ1. Did it up and voila....... I was like    Now, I am a bit fussy towards sound liao 

Ron told me to get you to have a SVS sub at home. lol....

Now, time to hook back my system. Waiting for the quote on power amp. Meanwhile, also eyeing the Parasound 2 channel power amp.

2nd chart : Ron's room is pretty difficult and probably needs to be redone after Audyssey. If still not able might need an AS-EQ1 one to improve on this. His lower frequencies barely settle down at 300ms. In fact they linger around for as long as 1s. In fact  at 16Hz there is a pickup after 300ms that u cannot see. I believe I need to redo this with the Galaxy. I also believe this will improve after 2nd round of Audyssey. If this cannot be corrected, then a AS-EQ1 is necessary for further accuracy.

Later, kena again like in SVS Prod Launch thread. "Eh, mana bass? No syiok." LOL..... I don't blame them as we grew up loving bass that basically does a lot of colouration tothe original recording. Not easy to change that. But, then again, personal taste.

I knew ron is after near perfection as almost all of us in this page do. Will arrange for that when time permits.
