IPA stands for In-Princapal-Approval. If you are awarded an E-pass from MOM, you'll need the IPA, notification letter and an appointment with EPSC to have your thumb print incorporated in the card. EPSC will take 4-5 working days to produce your EP card and subsequently you may collect it from the centre.

Having an EP card will avoid any stamping on your passport by the immigration officer in the future. There is a Medical Declaration to be done in the IPA, or it may be in a form to be filled. Hence, you should be undergoing a medical test. Once you have the IPA form printed, PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS before visiting EPSC. You dont want to pay a redundant trip there.

Alight at Clarke Quay MRT station, both EPSC (for EP-pass) and MOM (for S-pass) are within walking distance, caveat they are not in the same building.
