i haved been called to go for an interview in SG. The company is near Tanjung Pagar MRT station, is $1800 a good pay? can we survive with that pay? and can I stay in JB if i work in that area? Will it save my cost? And i need to sent RM1k back to malaysia if i accepted the job because i have to pay for my car loan. Should i go for it or i just get a job in KL, I am getting RM2.5k in KL FYI. please advise

went for my interview on thursday... the company says i am very suitable for the job but the HR say it is very hard to get a EP for me because my qualification is very low. I am only a STPM grad and the worst part is, i didn't collect my STPM original cert from my school. Now i have to go to the gomen to get my cert and e-mail it to the HR. The HR personal do inform me that there is a high % of my application getting reject. izzit true? the HR person is a Korean btw.

Wat job u interviewed? Salary above $2.5K? Otherwise, why not apply for a work permit, it is easier to get a work permit than an employment pass.
*
I am not sure how much they paying me, but i am asking for $1.8k the HR say any job above $1.8k have to get EP. they have incentive and OT as well, so i think if $1.8k basic, then can fetch $2k+ 1 month lo. Its just a technical support call center job.

The move to switch back is extremely dissapointing, instead of moving forward, Malaysia is travelling back to stone age.

Somehow I think the Gomen doesnt wish its citizen to be any smarter than them (are they even smart in the first place?), so by limiting its citizen the opportunity to learn and advance, the chances of producing 'enlighten' citizen are contained or minimised. So, less rebellious and less retaliation.

In the end, the poor will be poorer and the rich gets richer.

no non-muslim in malaysia wish to stay in this country because it is very racist here. you can even say it is some sort of discrimination. trying very hard to look for a job in SG and if i got 1, i will never come back to this country.

Oh no, you have just confessed to illegal downloads.

And do you know that Singapore police force is very efficient at catching illegal downloads? If I am not wrong, years back, a few was caught at their home for illegal downloads and was slapped with heavy fine.

Singapore is a FINE country.

does this mean that we are not allow to download drama in SG? can we bring them in from johor then?

Hi...tqtqtqtq so much for all of u for providing useful information to me..really appreciate it!!!

If that is the case, i shall plan for registering married in Malaysia prior apply jobs as well as PR in Singapore...coz i got heard from others that if you apply and obtain SPR before you get married, then there will be quite difficult to apply dependent SPR for our spouse upon you married.....is it true..????
*
All i know is my aunty is married to a singaporean, work in singapore more than 10 years and she is still a employment pass holder. not sure whether she is not able to get PR or she didn't want to apply bcoz of the CPF deduction. But i am wondering what is going to happen to her when she retire... singapore will kick her out while all her family members are singaporeans?

helpdesk is generally lower pay even in malaysia. im not in helpdesk nature, im more into development. how is it for software development prospect in SG?
*
i dun agree to this, in SG helpdesk only offer $1.8k-$2.5k while in malaysia helpdesk pay is from RM2.5k-RM4k depending on the candidate. and a development ppl in MY also get around RM2.5-3.5k as a fresh grad.. so basicly in MY, helpdesk pays better.

I wonder how long is your internship?
Yes, MOM = Ministry of Manpower

No worries, application usually does not have problem unless they suspect you have problem.

i am also pending for the approval for my work permit... normally how long does it take for the work permit to approve har?? it stated we need to go through a medical check... what they will check normally?

IPA stands for In-Princapal-Approval. If you are awarded an E-pass from MOM, you'll need the IPA, notification letter and an appointment with EPSC to have your thumb print incorporated in the card. EPSC will take 4-5 working days to produce your EP card and subsequently you may collect it from the centre.

Having an EP card will avoid any stamping on your passport by the immigration officer in the future. There is a Medical Declaration to be done in the IPA, or it may be in a form to be filled. Hence, you should be undergoing a medical test. Once you have the IPA form printed, PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS before visiting EPSC. You dont want to pay a redundant trip there.

Alight at Clarke Quay MRT station, both EPSC (for EP-pass) and MOM (for S-pass) are within walking distance, caveat they are not in the same building.

A quick check, who knows the cheapest route to send money back to Msia from Sg?

Bringing cash is out of the discussion.

Thanks for the info. My aunty works in Singapore and she sent money back through a money changer. She claim that the money changer actually give her good exchange rate. and the money changer will bank in the money into the bank account given.
