No matter how we work our pay (after converted) still cannot match working in Starbucks & Coffee Bean in Singapore... I don't want to compare with Europe & US because they are too far away, don't want to compare with Indonesia & Thailand as well.

I wonder what's the % of Malaysians returning to Malaysia to work after working/living in Singapore for few years?
*
erm...depends...everyone has his/her own priorities...
as for me, i thought i just want to work here for few years, then going back to msia...but i am now start liking spore ady tongue.gif

Oh no, you have just confessed to illegal downloads.

And do you know that Singapore police force is very efficient at catching illegal downloads? If I am not wrong, years back, a few was caught at their home for illegal downloads and was slapped with heavy fine.

Singapore is a FINE country.

i have bus ticket which i need to sell it...im getting myself into trouble... cry.gif

Bus Company: Konsortium
Tour : 2-way SIN (golden mile) -> KL (puduraya),
KL (swiss garden hotel which is near to puduraya) -> SIN(golden mile)
Departure: 26/11/2009 (7pm)
Returning : 29/11/2009 (3pm)
Cost : SGD 46.50
Problems : 1) 26/11/2009 (Thu), work till 6pm...(was too xcited @ dat time, wen i was told d time 7pm, 8:30pm...
straight away i said ofcoz 7pm, can reach home faster ma...but after dat start regretting ady...
7pm mana eh-sai reach there...traffic congestion...IBP to MRT ady tk 15mins liao..
( doh.gif my fault not to think before deciding)
2) 29/11/2009 (Sun), thinking of taking 1day leave on the next day...but dunno whether can or not...coz
too many works...it's my birthday cry.gif

Ways to overcome: 1) sell it icon_question.gif
2) change the time
3) take leave sweat.gif which is unfavourable
4) go back early, say 5:30pm (will receive warning letter the next monday)

nope, it will not deduct ur free SGD100 local call...

unless u r using SPEED card (SGD8.50 for SGD10 value of credit, SGD0.05/min, deduct ur local call (in my case, too much till lend to colleagues to mk call oso kenot finish, so i dun mind tongue.gif ) provided u dun mind to add in few steps...listen to d operator voice b4 ur family members' voice... sweat.gif

well, i heard bout it from a HR personnel there through some connection, so bit worry they dont accept unless its the degree cert. I'll get the letter and try though. thanks lots! appreciate it. hope can start work by jan 2010.

i also heard from another friends said that we can request for a phone interview in our resume so that we dont have to travel down, an this will not make the company's HR feels that im not passionate enough. guess it boils down to the company's culture, i assume.
*
No worries, rayray, I've got my job here with my academic transcripts. Interview + landed a job here in April, but convo in Aug. It's not an issue, just u have to make sure ur letter from uni (to obtain ur Employment Pass for example) clearly stated that u hv fulfilled all d requirements + to be awarded / conferred degree in ??? (must have the keywords in the letter, if not vmad.gif , like me lor, travelled to MOM for few times)...

My PR application = rejected. cry.gif so sad. wrong timing i think (self-comforting tongue.gif ). a fren of mine, who is also an engineer (but M&E, im C&S) = rejected although he has been working in SG for two years (both of us applied in aug, that time d gov said population in SG > 5 million). sweat.gif or maybe bcoz of d job credits scheme is extended untill next June, so doh.gif want to d prudent as d economy of SG is recovering from recession...im a bit emo now...as in my country, im rejected...in sg, im also rejected... sweat.gif

in d letter stated i may apply in 2 years time blink.gif can i appeal? how? can it b earlier? say, another 6 months to improve myself. +++ my credentials...i want to further my master studies (after getting PR, with subsidies from SG gov thumbup.gif, but now cry.gif )

no matter where u work at malaysia or sg...it is always the best u stay near to ur working place. it will cost more if u stay outside becoz rental at sg consider high. a common room at jurong area might cost u SGD500+-. i would stay outside becoz i have my own privacy and if i stay near to office i can back home as soon as i can after work.

FYI: i work at IBP as well and i m staying at buona vista. after reaching jurong east MRT have to take IBP feeder bus.

im working in The Strategy, IBP, staying in Blk 273, Toh Guan... tongue.gif

tongue.gif Mewah group, nice... my company is just next to Mewah's building. Where will you be staying? IBP is not really a nice place to work as the shuttle bus is costly (40c per trip). Imagine one day you need to fork out S$1.60 just like that (come to work and get out of IBP during lunch time).
*
can try exercising (walk 15mins) in d morning tongue.gif

where do u go for lunch? need to take bus? hmm.gif Akira's Food Court, Creative's Food Court, Atrium, IMM are just a stone's throw away from The Strategy => Walk brows.gif

ha.. would wish to join for gathering on the next one...

I wanna check if in normally those public holiday do u guys have any problem obtaining a bus ticket back to KL ? If we were to get it in last minute ? Example if this new year on Fri, then getting it on WED, any high possibility of getting a ticket ? or is it always full ?

Need to do some planning, some feedbacks please. .

My feedback : Took a bus once from KL to SG, Causeway link express. It was on school holiday lately, I directly go PUDU get a ticket and leave on 10.30 pm on Sunday. Its possible . however my bus was full with only 6 places remaining. so maybe places quite limited but still able to get on last minute..
*
Causeway Link Bus Ticket is S$50 for SIN-KL during CNY. I have submitted my leave form last month, but cry.gif again I am taking risk. I have bought mine (Transnational S$32.3, have to travel to Lavender St sweat.gif ). the one coming back from kl to sin yet to be purchased as cry.gif many are taking leaves wed-fri, project submission datelines...

First Coach is the best, like what chess_gal said. In terms of price (CNY still S$33 as usual), service (very polite + helpful staff)...but sold out ady cry.gif
