aktuali its kinda fun if u tink of it
some here might be too young n too much time in their hand to understand, especially those still in skool

but for older working people which means working n going home too tired to do anything else on most days, its aktuali a very nice way to meet a new partner
rm50-100 for a dinner to meet a dozen gurls . . . . why not . . . its an insignificant amount of money for these people to meet a dozen of "willing" partners, no need for the guess work of trying to illicit if he/she is taken or not, u know he/she IS in the mood to find a partner

But too bad that most are guys who attend, and most pretty girls are already in relationship, then most who attend are the left over.

But what to do if the guy willing to give, and the girl willing to take??

Sometime relationship just works that way.

speed dating?

well, as time passes by, life is unpredictable. I gradually found out there is no strict NO or YES answer.

I see speed dating couple having ever lasting married life; I see conservative couple anti pre-marital sex divorced...

Speed date or not is really doesn't matter anymore, the beginning of a relationship is not the issue that judges how long it lasts.

It's both hearts that work out an ever lasting relationship.

Expect not so hot girls with a lot of bfs seeking to enlarge their network, or socially inept girls that choosy when it comes mingling with boys.

Blinky is so right !

Sorry to say, but participants of all these speed dating services, matchmaking services and all the other whatchamacallits are either not so good looking, have crappy characteristics and attitudes or are socially deprived.

Even tho all it takes is to sit n chat ur night thru wit 'dates', i personally think speed dating is mentally n physically tiring. It's particularly tiring to be sitting thru 4 5 rounds wit different guy evry 15 mins n repeat the same conversation wit a big smile on ur face...'Hi, where r u from? Wut do u do for a living? Wut do u do for fun? My name is lalala, Im from so n so, I'm an acct and I bla the bla bla.......". If thru the 15 mins, u manage the conversation, then it's great, but on the contrary if u meet those dat doesnt know wut to say, then u suffer the awkward moment trying ur very best to alwiz break the silence n u wish so hard for dat 15 mins to be up asap and at that very exact moment, that 15 mins seem as if time stood still forever, 15 mins feels like 15 hrs. That's actually challenging thus tiring.

And from my one time experience, I notice the participants are those that lack the social skills in life and turn to speed dating as the last resort in their life in looking for a life partner/marriage, despite some participants are the ones that have it all. Career, cash, postition and etc. So you can see it in the participants that all of them are desperately looking for love.....and dat's de sad part coz it's difficult to turn the whole experience into fun when everyone is so seriusly looking for their "Mr./Ms. Right"...u dun wanna be misleading at the same time

then change speed dating to fun dating...
organise some activity in between the dates
then it will be easier to get to know the whole group better
and the aim of this fun dating will be fun not just looking for someone to get married
