that contrast is factory announced dynamic contrast, not NATIVE lcd panel contrast. For instance, LG said its model(xxx) is 50000:1, but 42LZ80 is 15000, so I do NOT believe at all LG one is >3x higher contrast, it is totally no such thing ! Always bring one DVD copy(clear or dvd9), then go and hop around to test it side by side from same player source. Then from there u will realise what u like.

my friend bought the 42RV500E from a shop opposite HAIER Factory in Bdr Puteri Puchong recently for RM3100...
and I think you can get it from Legend SS2 or Old Klang road branch for the same price....

I am still contemplating whether to get the Panasonic Full HD LCD...is the same price....but contract lower
at 10000:1

PS3 works well on FHD LCD tv provided you dont play any football games.

it is so horribly blur when dribbling or turning body.

Got my 40B530 for RM2899 at SenQ in Sep. I'm impressed with the black level. So far, I think the most value for money of LCD Full HD TV under 3K. Using a d Pana BD60 BluRay.... clear and nice even with DVD upscale. I think Pana do a good job in upscalling, my older Samsung DVD player dont do so much good in upscalling DVD.

I only have PS2 with component in. So far so good. smile.gif But again PS2 graphic can masuk museum lah.

As for Astro, you go and get a new decoder that come with component output. That solve your problem with S-Video thingy.

Cheapest I've came by for 40B530 was RM2600. I wanted to purchase the unit but decided not to because the cosmetic finishing doesn't look very nice. Ended up buying a Bravia K40V550.

You dont have to use your credit card point but if you got point then more discount, for citibank card every 9000points =RM50.00, example the 530 set is 2649-50=2599, so the more point you got the more discount
