Well, it depends on your skin. Some too dry, too oily, too rough... Should say some brands are not suitable for your skin too. Some even produces rashes after you used it! Must rejected it!

My favourite is always Shiseido, although overpriced at times icon_rolleyes.gif

M•A•C and Estée Lauder are in one company. Speaking of 'Foundation', can it be called as 'Base' too? M•A•C and Shiseido not bad. Just sometimes M•A•C staffs can be arrogant at times, very LCLY... shakehead.gif Full thicked-makeups, like a clown. Shiseido great but, just overpriced, unless you can afford it if you're looking for the best quality. I suggest buy a little first. Some ppl skins got effects after using some cosmetics, skin care and beauty products. Just be careful icon_rolleyes.gif

I've always loved Chanel, Shiseido and Estee Lauder for things like foundation and loose powder, maybe the occasional eyeliner too. But I also do use brands like Maybelline, L'Oreal and Kate for eyeliner and lipsticks, and that's about it.

I'd like to try Bobbi Brown's gel eye liner.

Never been too partial about M.A.C. Something about their shops/salespeople just doesn't seem to attract me, and I've never had a good experience with their salespeople :| Shu Uemura has mineral oil in some of their products, and I'm sensitive to it >_<

When I'm starting using MAC I found that my face seems to grow more fine lines,open pores etc,so my friend suggest me to use Bobbi Brown as their make up range has benefits to our skin but they're quite pricey,is it true?anyone heard about that?

hey thinking bout it, i think you girls were right. went to the MAC shop to try out their foundation, and the salesgirl doesnt seems very helpful, she is kinda like think i was such a fuss (with the way she looked at me) hmmmpppppphhh... and she put some makeup on me to test as well, not that very gentle. I think I'll try Estee Lauder later.

Added on June 19, 2009, 12:48 pmto prevent pimples, after applying foundation, you have to use makeup remover to wash away all the dirts first instead of directly washing with water and soap. that's what the MAC girl told me.

@honeyz

Have you apply foundation before starting to make-up? Don't blame the brand itself. Sometimes it depends on your skin too. Whether you have dry, oily, etc skin, it depends whether your skin can accept the brand. If you develop some rashes or itchiness after using, don't continue to use it. Give it to someone else instead.

@milkytime

Whenever you have apply foundation, never use a normal soap and water to remove it. You never realize it but its not the right way to wash your foundation away. Make-up remover, you can use it if you apply lots of make-ups, but its not the only way to prevent pimples from appearing. Use a normal face cleansing or deep face cleansing foam/gel is enough. The way you wash it also matters. However, you must wash your foundation quickly as you reach home. Surely, like the staff at MAC advised, it will have pimples.

I used a good product for overall face coverage like base, foundation and powder. But for eye shadow and lipstick I don't mind drugstore brands. I've tried some brands like Shisheido, MAC, Makeup4ever for foundation but I always go back to Estee Lauder. I love the Blush frm Benefit, and invested in Sheseido mascara base and Dior lipgloss. The rest of the products I used are a hodge podge of Rimmel, Kate, Shephora, Bourjois, Revlon, etc.

I'd love to try Shu Umera powder one day.. waiting to finish up my current powder.

Been using MAC for a while now and I must say that it has become one of my fave lately especially their Mineralize Skinfinish but not fond of their lipglass, to sticky for me.
I've only been to MAC KLCC and MAC Pavillion, so far the sales girls there are very friendly and helpful even though they know I only went there to window shop tongue.gif
For lipstick and lipgloss I prefer NYX

for foundation,my love is for everyday minerals in intensive formula and original glo formula mix together..great coverage..great staying power..cheap and natural.. thumbup.gif

for eyeshadows, for high end i like mac's especially their pigments though sumtimes their pigments cn be a bit gritty..never tried shu b4..maybe i should check it out..for low end,nyx and milani is good..wet n wild is awesome too..

for lipsticks and lipgloss, i love mac's too..i dun mind stickiness in their lipglass formula..i kinda like it cz the stickiness is the thing that will make up l/g stay longer..but i also enjoy revlon super lustrous l/g and nyx lips stuff.. wub.gif

I am in love with Paul & Joe, RMK and Lunasol. Point make up from Coffret D'or and Beaute de Kose are good too. Beaute de Kose makes the nicest eye glosses ever in their fantasist range o.o-b
