Good day to you Oldfart.
You kept lots of Tarantula, I am curios about methods of housing Ts. It will be an headache if all my slings grows up. Mind to share picture of ur enclosures? It will be great. Thanks. I kept my adults in guppy tanks so far, planning constructing glass tanks for em. |

QUOTE(Oldfart @ Jul 23 2009, 06:03 AM) I know exactly what you are going through. I'm not a good one to ask for space saving tips. Thats a good idea keeping them this way! Thx, i have no amazing ways of keepin them myself. Making sliding lids for my 10g terrestrial tanks allows me to stack arboreal cages(which have a smaller footprint) on top of the back half of the terrestrial tank while still giving me access to the T's in the lowest row. It also allows me to stack more tanks on shelves without requiring a lot of height between rows. That's about the only thing I have come up with to save space. Didn't get to sleep, been all day with my friend on his construction site. Anyway story is - i drop by a local pet store, saw a B.boehmei justed molted in enclosure, requests to see its exo-skeleton for sexing. He said he cant take it for me, this SPIDER can kill him, and hunted birds in the wild, only ORANG BERANI keep it. Imagine the information his providing to everyone asking. Lester: Your P.cancerides looks rather adorable. |

Nicely said, i do agree on this term. Apart from poaching, there is always developement and deforestation, as long there is money to be put in pocket. We can't really stop it.
Captive breeding is a good option(whereas the breeder is ethical) but carefully letting some back to their natural habitat will be nice 2. It would be great if it is possible you can send of some of your nice Ts for breeding! |

Ya most T i propose can survive, they are quite hardy animals but yet they have their vulnarable moments.
Mr Stew: Ha, i persuade mine to gave me a nice shake i just cant miss it, most of the time it just lazy to bother about me. Btw,If the guy from the club have a way to keep it, you probably can do it. Because the reason that its so gorgeous i will get it in a blink of an eye. But do not let my selfish mind of owning every T possible influence you. |
