Aros still on your project superworm. So far its it worth it to breed for feeder.

I got quite an amount of them but left them to lead life in wild.

Oldfart: i like the tiger stripe marking. looks really nice. thanks for the photo.

HyourinMaru : OBT as you know, lives on the dry side. Don worry, normally for my style i don wet the substrate, only spry droplets for them to drink. As i know the humidity around my room/normal malayisan humidity is at least 60-70% which for my idea is sufficient for them to molt. Keep it on the drier side and give it some time. I bet your T will turn out just fine.

Do keep a look out if he made a sperm web! They tend to destroy it but still you might spot the web. Guess you know that, but remember date ur T wit mine wink.gif.

Do OBT slings nid a hideout like a bark?Mine still the same, dun wan to come down. When open the cover of the container it will bcome active and crawl out to my hand. rclxub.gif
*
What i observe they just tend to make their own web structure as home no matter what you provide them. If you like, you can try put a bark and see how it goes, do give a try urself to see the effects. Just personal preferance, wont do great harm if ur worried but make sure ur bark is steralized to kill of microorganism. Using methods like Bake/steam or any method u can think off.

MR HIKANO: NOT ADVISABLE to feed freshly molted Ts as you can see many keepers here told you the effects. But nasty me did try b4 feeding slings after a day after freshly molted might be lesser. Suprisingly it ate the live mealworm perfectly.

Old fart: Do come back and visit, 1987 i am still drinking Baby Milk!, nice to meet you here. Been in the hobby nearly a year, still quite fresh. Currently waiting to go Alabama for training.

Leetplayer: So far is the cannibalism rate high? Old fart mention would they stay togather, cause i also thinking would feeding them cause a problem. Mind me i only have 5. Anyway Nice! Neat and easy setup.

I wonder you guys have read about another option feeding them maggots. As its soft and juicy is kinda great. If the larvae hatch to flies the sling still can get them.

Malaysia easy cultivate maggots. Everywhere got them damn flies. Downside - it stinks.

I once uses dead cricket(i always have them) to attract a certain fly(forgot the name) to come lay eggs. The maggot should hatch around a week. I feed them to my 1cm+- slings. So far slings take it nicely.

But stop doin it. Stinks and feels kinda dirty.

Oh ya..thats the name...thanks man....

Chinese call it maggots LAJI CHONG. Rubbish worm. I often get them when i living with my house mate.NOBODY WANTS to throw the rubbish.

As long T can eat, you can feed. At your own risk! Tmr i got dig earth worm feed them. Ryo might get some of your pedes along the way.

Birds eat them to fly, Fish eat them to swim, Wild boar dig them to run. Got sohai eat them with beer. They must be nutritious with tons of protein.

I have bout 70+ slings. I powerfeed them all with mealworm, at the moment they grow nicely. Only one particular avic sp purple just don't like it.

So far, Lost 3 different species of sling due to bad molting. 1 obt plus 1 smithi died aftermolt(i think due to my aircond after i move them to new room.

I wonder whats the claim of not suitable, can refer me to the link?

Thanks for the link! Great info on the nutritional value.

*Edited my previous post.

Forgive my mistake for my brains does not function well without much sleep.

I have 10 of em. 3 died a day after arrival.

I kept 4 after selling the rest. All molted twice nicely since Feb 4 2009. Humidity in my room is around 60%-70%. I always keep my substrate damp. They are around LS 1 inch+ now.

So base on this minor data, molting havent been a problem for me.

Wish I could keep my T's inside the house!  Freaking heatwave today- 113 degrees outside.  90 inside my T-room.  Hope none of them dies because of the heat!
*
Hows the T doin with the heatwave goin on? Btw how many Ts ur keeping.

Rideon: Haha, tats sound quite amusing, Ts always tends to amaze me. Once my adult Sg Blue used its karate eight leg to kill a cricket, i find it weird until i realize my sg blue lost its fang due to molt.
