Hi All,

I wonder who has tried this plugin pestfree product and wonder it's working or not.

Any testimonial from the forumers would be appreciate. I don't trust the testimonial from the official website.

Here's the website:

Thank you.

Late last year the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) began proceedings in the Federal Court against Pest Free Australia, alleging that it made false and misleading representations concerning the performance characteristics of the PLUG IN PEST FREE electronic device in various TV ads, newspaper advertisements, on its website and in various brochures and promotional material.

These claims included that, when the device was plugged into and using electricity from a normal power supply outlet within the buyer's premises, it would, among other things:

* Prevent the intake of water and nutrients by any noxious or destructive insects and vermin that inhabited premises near to the device.

* Cause the death by dehydration and/or starvation of these insects and vermin if they were unable to escape the effects of the device.

* Generate vibrations that repel such insects and vermin.

* Provide protection from noxious or destructive insects and vermin all day, every day, continuously into the future.

* Break the breeding and feeding cycles of cockroaches, mice, rats and other noxious or destructive insects or vermin.

The ACCC alleges that the representations are false and misleading and in breach of the Trade Practices Act because the device doesn't work as claimed. The ACCC is seeking court orders including declarations, corrective ads, injunctions, refunds to consumers and removal of the product from sale.

None of this is a surprise to us--we reported on electronic pest-repeller devices in CHOICE, May 2001, when we could find no scientific evidence to support claims that they can affect pests in ways like driving them away or deterring them from entering the treated area, and concluded that you shouldn't waste your money.

Hi All,

To The Forum & Andy.

My name is Ray Connell and I am the President and Founder of Pest Free Australia Pty Limited.

I am responding to the False & Misleading defamatory rubbish that is appearing on this site regarding my Australian Patented Plug-In Pest Free Electromagnetic Chemical Free Pest Controller.

Pest Free has been Scientifically Tested in a leading Australian University by an Emeritus Professor of 42 years experience who is regarded by the United Nations as being an Expert in his field. Independently Tested by 2 National Supermarket Companies over 2 years in 3 states of Australia. Consumer Tested & accepted since January 1995. My Product has received Multiple Exporting Grants from the Autralian Federal Government. Pest Free is fully endorsed by HACCP Australia for Australia & Internationally.

The Accc discontinued their action against my product and the federal Court of Sydney awarded the Accc to pay Pest Free's COST'S.

Pest Free Australia's key advantages were that it was able to put forward evidence based on university testing, field reports and from its installed base. This evidence was clearly enough to satify the Accc and the Court and allows Pest Free to claim, with justification, that its products have been proven to work in a court of law.

The case brought against Pest Free Australia fell due to the unambiguous evidence of Pest Free's efficasy. Pest Free can therefore justifiably claim that it is the only proven product on the market.

Regarding Choice Magazine again I find your statement offensive and defamatory as Choice made a retraction statement in print within their magazine. Pest Free also submitted Published Work on Biological Effects of Electromagnetic Energy which is a very comprensive review of the subject on published work up to the late 1970s of how extremely low frequency (ELF) electric and magnetic energy is implicated in the normal behaviour of Rats & Mice.

To Andy I recommend you visit my website www.pestfree.com.au and click into the testimonials and you will see all the testimonials you want and as I cannot fit all the testimonials I have received since 1995 on my website you are more than welcome to visit my office and view all the testimonials I have received from people all over the world about the effect Pest Free has had in their homes and businesses.

I have completely No Hesitation in returning to a Court of Law with anyone one who try's to discredit or defame my products patented proven technology.

False & Misleading, which part?
I suggest you start reading the fact that is presented in this thread.

ACCC began proceedings in the Federal Court against Pest Free Australia, true or false?
These claims are made by ACCC, is not?

Hi Jasonhanjk.

I also suggest you get to understand the real facts as it appears your only relience is based on what you have read. I learnt a long time ago to believe half of what you hear and read and all of what you see.

Yes I was taken to court by the Accc and I am not saying that is false that is a fact and if you look at how many companies the Accc has taken to court over the years you would lose count. You should be bright enough to understand being taken to court does not mean you are guilty, as it was in my case. Orders for costs were made against the Accc in FAVOUR of Pest Free. People who lose Jason do not get costs awarded to them.

Fact: In 1996/7 our Double Blinded Scientific Proven Testing Results showed that Pest Free devices reduced food consumption in Rats & Mice and this was shown to be statistically significant as well as consistent. The testing also found that their were statisically significant increases in the consumption of water in Rats & Mice.

Fact: Further research was carried out in 2003 on re-analyses of data from the US-EPA (Environmental Protection Authority of the USA Report published in March 1979) confirmed the findings and conclusions that food and water consumption of rodents are adversely affected by the electomagnetic Pest Free.

Fact: The above findings are supported by published work in recognized scientific literature over the past 10 or more years on the influence of electromagnetic forces on rodents. The testing therefore was able to conclude that rodents would suffer loss of appetite and increased thirst thereby disrupting their normal behavior and reproduction if exposed to electromagnetic forces of the type used in Pest Free.

Fact: If your thread did further research instead of relying on someone elses you will find the article you have exposed is meant for the other electronic product the Accc also had taken to court around the same time.
The product was called PEST CONTRO manufactured by a USA company Global Instuments.Ltd. This company also manufactures its product under many brand names ie. PEST-A-Cator, RIDDEX, PEST VACATOR 800, PEST VACATOR 1500, GREENSHIELD and others. The president of the company Mr. Charles Patterson received 3 to 5 year penalities from the FTC and can no longer advertise his products effect any pests without supplying first competent and relaiable scientific evidence.

Fact: The company Danoz who were selling the product in Australia were ordered to offer refunds back to July 1997. Stop all advertising claiming the product effected any pests without first supplying Competent and Reliable Scientific Evidence that Substantiates the Representation.

Fact: My Australian Patented Technology has been marketed since January 1995 and no other product on the market has the scientific, independent and consumer credibility it WORKS!

To all Forum members who may have followed this thread with interest. As an authorized representative for Pest Free Australia Pty. Ltd., the following needs to be made very clear.

Plug-In Pest Free is proud to be the only product on the Australian and a world market which has been fully scientifically tested in a leading Australian University by an Emeritus Professor and consumer tested and proven for 15 YEARS!!

The link embedded in this forum for purchase of a Headline Ultrasonic Device is in no way a reflection of the Patented Technology which Pest Free Australia Provides.

It must be noted that it is imitators like the Headline Product mentioned in this forum which led to Pest Free Australia Pty. Ltd. being held to account in the truth and efficacy of its business and product. Simply, the Federal Court case, rallied by the ACCC against Pest Free Australia was simply “guilty by association” charges! In fact, Plug-In Pest Free was the only product in the electromagnetic or ultrasonic market left standing; the only company to be able to justify all of its worth and efficacy to its suggested task and as further proof to the unjust charges, was awarded costs by the Court against the ACCC.

This is intended to be recognized as an entry to Stromberg and its product- Headline Ultrasonic Pest Repeller, as notification that the unethical way in which you have utilized the efficacy of Plug-In Pest Free as justification for customers to be redirected to your inferior product is offensive to the moral standards of Pest Free Australia Pty. Ltd.

In answer to H W Racer,

If you are discussing the Plug-In Pest Free product, I can advise you that Plug-In Pest Free will greatly assist in the control of cockroaches. Plug-In Pest Free is not a killing system, but a technology which creates an uncomfortable environment in the cavities and ceilings of a home; these are the highways and byways for Rats, Mice and Cockroaches and places where normal toxic poisonous chemicals cannot reach... - Importantly, our technology utilizes the electromagnetic force which already exists around the wiring of any building and pulse modulates this force, so you can be fully guaranteed of its safety.

In regards to Lizards, we have not been scientifically tested to the full affect on these pests. We do have several customer testimonies voicing their belief that the Plug-In Pest Free has ridded their home of lizards, however we cannot guarantee our product will be successful against this pest. This is the voice of a responsible company who will not suggest a benefit of our product in relation to anything less than complete transparency and truth regarding its limitations.

Plug-In Pest Free is completely safe around humans, dogs, cats, birds, and fish and is communications authority approved, which means our technology is completely safe to use near even the most fragile of monitoring systems, the likes of which are in hospitals & Jails; areas where a failed system cannot be afforded!!

If you wish to obtain any further information please feel free to email sales@pestfree.com.au or visit www.pestfree.com.my and the friendly staff at Pest Free will be delighted to assist you with your enquiry.

Kindest Regards,
Pest Free Australia Pty. Ltd.

I read with interest this thread as a potential customer. I have seen online that Riddex makes the same claim and has been exposed as a scam.

Can Pest Free provide links to findings from studies that confirmed its efficiency in dealing with rodents and cockroaches?

Hi, I am a representative from Pest Free Malaysia. Here are the answers to your questions :-

1. Pest Free works specifically on rats , mice and cockroaches. It does not work on termites or houseflies. We do have another product called MosFree that traps mosquitoes using a chemical free concept.

2. Pest Free has been scientifically tested and proven to work by an Emeritus Professor at a leading Australian university. Please see the report at http://www.pestfree.com.my/scientificreport.pdf Further to this, Pest Free comes with a 30 day money back guarantee so it is risk free for you when you purchase and try Pest Free at your home. Simply return it back to us for a full refund if it does not work.

Please visit our website at http://www.pestfree.com.my for more information. We wish to announce that Pest Free will be showcased at ID Trends in conjunction with Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF) from the 3rd to 7th of March 2010. Do visit us at Matrade Exhibition Centre during those dates.

My parents house back in hometown has some serious rat problem. I came across PestFree from Maybank redemption programme and did some searching and reading. Although at RM270 it is not cheap, I was willing to try it in case it really works.

I personally went to Sayang Alam Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam to purchase before CNY. I went back, plug-in the device since then. Now about a full 1-month later, my mother said the rat problem is still there, but perhaps less serious in that my parents don't get disturbed every night by the roof crawling noise. The rats still feed on the rice pack though.

So I still really don't know whether it was worth the RM270.
