ori nokia phones r brought in by companies such as zitron, avaxx, sapura, or i-mobile in msia...
AP phones r by smaller companies like xxx marketing, etc etc

the main difference is the warranty...
ori phones can be brought to any NCC FOC for fixing (refer warranty card for T&C)
AP phones on the other hand must be brought back to d company tat offers the warranty ie: back to d seller u bought d phone from

so d bad thing is if u bought ur phone fr johor n ur from KL then u nid to go all d way back to johor for the seller to claim the warranty
or in d event the small company goes bust... then ur warranty gone oso...

the stuff bundled with the phone should be d same for ori or AP...

i bought my 5800 without any bt headset

p/s: beware of irresponsible trader who cheats. they may say it's ori but giv u AP phones

if it's free, there wont be a need to unlock it...so no nid unlock code
right guys?
just like MFM, free maps, so no unlock code is needed to use

so wat will happen if v were to go to ncc n ask for a replacement of the C2 card?
do v nid to prove its faultyness/incompatibility?
or it is already a known problem and they should change d card to C2 or C4? :S

ic...does tat mean the random corruption as mentioned does not happen on ALL class 2 but oni on SOME class 2?

i emailed nokia with the symptoms explained by GothFebrio that goes like this:

"im using a nokia5800 bought in May that comes with a class2 micro sdhc 8GB.
i've been experiencing problems when the memory card is filled close to its maximum capacity.
the problems include:
1. corrupted card
2. connecting the phone via mass storage mode crashes
3. sudden message that says "unsafe to remove memory card" although i did not try to remove the card, and it then requires reinsertion of the memory card.

further findings in the internet suggest that it may be due to compatibility issue of nokia 5800s and class2 memory cards.

i'd like to enquire if nokia is aware of this problem (if there is any) and if NCC would replace my class 2 memory card with one of class 4 or class 6.

this is their reply:
"In response to your inquiry, I just want to verify if the memory card is inserted properly?

In regards to corrupted memory card,you may try to open some files stored on the memory card. If the files can not be opened due to corrupted card, you may try to format your memory card.

Is the memory card full or almost full? If yes please try to clear some space before saving new files or use a new memory card.

If all else fails, what we can suggest you is to go to any Authorized Service Center to address your concern properly."

hmm...seems as if they are not aware of such problem arising from the use of class 2 cards.
i havent try to max the card though

does that mean that they r ready to exchange C2 memory cards to C4 or C6, but they didnt coz they dun have them?
