Hi,

I am not sure whether it is ok for me to post my questions here (pls advise mod) but it is related to 5800 la.

I just got myself a Red 5800 yesterday & need guidance on some things :-

1) How do I transfer all my contacts from my old (SE) phone to the 5800 APART FROM copying it to sim card? The qty is more then what my sim card can save so I am kinda lost how to proceed.

2) Is it possible for sms/mms in my SE phone to be transferred too?

There one expensive method is to forward it via sms to yourself.

err,maybe can send the business cards cia bluetooth?

i also having the same problem....
the only thing i can recommend u is bluetooth and send over ! hahaha
it took me 1 day to transfer all the contacts other than save inside the sim card one ! haha

Another way like tabtennis said u can send via business card.

Option 1 send via business card

Option 2 Install pcsuite and sync with phone then type your contact thru pc

If are new to symbian i suggest u read. For some of us we just need meddle for 10 mins or more and we figure it out immediately.

if i remember correctly, you could send your entire address book to another phone via bluetooth. this is one speciality of SE phone. so i guess you should be able send them via bluetooth to your 5800XM

i have one question to ask regarding GMXT.

my 5800 actually cannot change vehicle logo.. i try to reinstalled also same.. it show only have an arrow logo..

i try to insert some vehicle logo into the folder.. but the result also same..

is your also same wif me?? only have arrow logo for navigation in GMXT?

Finally got my LCD changed at NCC, took them 2 hours, very fast actually, will see if the colour changing problem still occur or not. The sensor problem still there, they cant find the problem guess have to wait till it broke down completely.

I can't answer ur 2nd question. But for ur 1st question maybe this attachment can help. Juz backup ur contact on ur SE to memory card. It will be in vcf format. Then use this .exe file in the attachment (freeware) as well as nokia pc suite to change ur contact in SE to suit ur new 5800. I hope this will help :3

good for u,as for me,ncc kuantan cant make it in 2 hours,thats wat they said...they say need to leave it for a week although the stock has arrived...dont know why so unfair...btw slick has an update of v0.50...i cant update via slick in tube or download using ie or chrome so i decided to use a download manager...if we use ie or chrome the file wil be corrupted...so i think i should share this up

i suggest u can do it manually because later many things will happen

Like duplicate contacts or wrong placing of contact or wrong description for contact. If you are lazy then follow the above tutorial to worry more later. good luck
