Downing on left wing, Silva on right wing, bring Pavel Pogrebnyak (Heskey type of forward player) to partner Torres. Seems good ehh... Maybe if Alonso leaves, exchange for Van der Vaart or Sneijder. Robben would be nicer.

Johnson as right back? Good choice. He has transformed to be a better right back nowadays.

my opinion laaaa... lalalalalalalala...

p/s: anybody going for Liverpool friendly in Singapore next July? let's go together...

nahhh, i think we're very lucky coz Barry has chosen his team for next season. what we're going to do now is to strengthen the team, add couple of top world class players and develop our youngster to be more efficient like gerrard and carra. whoever man.city buy for next season, they're not going to win anything. haha...

Riera Ties the Knot

LIVERPOOL left-winger Albert Riera tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Yulia Koroleva in Omsk, Siberia at the weekend.

The Spanish star first met the Russian beauty in 2001 in Mallorca where he was playing for the local team in La Liga and she was on holiday.

He said: “I was on the leave after the season and one night went to a disco. I saw Yulia there, we looked at each other and I realised she was the girl I had been looking for.

“She was so beautiful and we've been together ever since.”

Yulia followed the player to Bordeaux, then Espanyol and Manchester City, where he was on loan, before signing for Liverpool last summer.

But he won’t be leaving the city if his WAG has anything to do with it.

She said: “I’m fed up with having to move places all the time.

“I want stability. It’s now even more important after the birth of our daughter.”

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Jun 9 2009, 07:50 PM)
Agent: Masch fancies bash at Barca

Javier Mascherano's agent has made it clear that the Liverpool midfielder would jump at the chance to join European kings Barcelona

user posted image

Mascherano has been linked with a move to the Spanish champions, and agent Walter Tamer claims his client would be very keen.

"If a club like Barcelona want to bring you into their ranks after having completed such a brilliant season and having won everything, obviously as a player, you are going to say, 'Yes, I want to play there,'" he told RAC-1 programme 'Tu Diras'.

"It is an honour for Javier that a club like Barca pay such close attention to him, especially after the incredible season they had. I believe that a transfer would be feasible. If Barca really want him, he will sign for them.

"He would have a very easy job at Barca. Sometimes we talk and joke that the only thing he has to do is run, rob the ball, and pass it on to all the superstars in front of him."

But Tamer does admit that the move could be made more difficult if Liverpool agree to sell Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid.

"What if Xabi Alonso also leaves? Surely, Rafael Benitez would not want to have both his central midfielders go. It will be difficult, although Xabi's future does not depend on Mascherano and vice-versa.

"The transaction would certainly happen, but the first to leave will have more options."

whatever it is, kaka and ronaldo now is RM player.
everybody should be focusing on what would happen towards their supporting club. i do believe Rafa will make good judgement for new players, not to think too much on our financial probs.

i believe Babel has not being given enough chance to show what he's capable of. i assume that Rafa mite give him the chance that he asked for, and hope he will take it well. actually i do believe in the current players that we have, just to add few depth in each department.

i really do want babel to perform, but i don't think this kind of pressure is good for him. he may be trying too hard. beginning of the season he was alrite esprecially during the man u match. what he needs now is confidence. and i really think he should try center forward role

on the side note, our youngsters are always hyped by lfc but i really doubt that most of them can be as consistent as insua. mentality is something young players lack and physique too(in pacheco's case). our youngsters are pretty short though, nothing above 6 foot i think. i can only see nemeth and spearing making it to the first team for now, pity nemeth's his injury got the better of him last season. plessis had a game in premier league and though he didn't fumble, he kept slowing down the attack. he passes back instead of front fearing of making mistakes i think. hopefully the pre season will bring the best out of them
*
i do like to see Rafa give chance to Nemeth on EPL matches. c'mon Rafa, if financial will not be on your side now, it's time for u to turn to the youngsters that u bring to the club. show us all what they can do for LFC. we don't have to be like Real Madrid, Chelsea, MU, Arsenal or what-so-ever.

c'mon Liverpool, BLOOD IN BLOOD OUT.

mmm, i wonder, how did the club price their players i mean look at ronaldo and kaka for that matter their price was totally outrageous, and guess what riberry just been tag more expensive than ronaldo...is the club simply tag price for their star player legally or what...

it wouldn't surprise me 2 seasons from now lucas worth more than 100m.. hmm.gif

it's all about money. if our national players were REALLY damn good, just imagine a headline "REAL splash $80mil for Indera Putra..."
