My Sony and Panny only skin warm even after many hours. LCD not suppose to be hot to the touch. Better send ur unit for check out.

If its like that from day one then I guess there's nothing to worry about but if only recently then something might be wrong. Maybe same model owner can give comment. My understanding is LCD does not have heat problem like CRT and this shows with my 2 LCD I have compared to my other 2 CRT I still have.

My Sony panel average temp is about 37C and at the back about 40C. My backlight set at 4 (max 10). Yes I use temp gun and not body thermometer tongue.gif

OMG....not too bright meh? Try to reduce 50% and c if ur heat problem go away.

More backlight will increase power consumption also

You might want to find optimal setting for your particular model. Search the net.
