i want to ask, i got a samsung series 6 32" full HD, after i on it for some time, not very long, the screen of the LCD will become hotter than the backside of the LCD, is it normal? after few hours it getting really hot, i can feel the heat without touching the screen, is it really normal?
i didnt take the temperature reading using thermometer, so dont ask for the temperature readings, i just use my hand and touch, 70c maybe...

If its like that from day one then I guess there's nothing to worry about but if only recently then something might be wrong. Maybe same model owner can give comment. My understanding is LCD does not have heat problem like CRT and this shows with my 2 LCD I have compared to my other 2 CRT I still have.

If you can still hold your hands on the screen for 5 secs or more I guess it shouldn't be a problem. but the easiest way to check is to go back to the shop you bought your LCD and ask them if you can touch their screen for comparison. better ask them first .. if not they'll scold you for leaving DNA's on their LCD.

Getting Started

|
my panny also not hot after many hours, just warm, both panel and back. Only plasma tv is hot, cause consuming > 350W. The hottest model is the panny PY800 that consume ~ 500W, and I can feel that it is very very very hot !!!

If you your body can feel the heat .. 50C will already start burning.
