Yo guys..just a random thought.

I know this ain't probably ain't BB related, but think about it as a general discussion among you guys...to share songs even.

What songs do you listen to during your workout if any?

Some bands I listen to are:
Unearth
Slipknot
Insomnium
Disturbed
As I Lay Dying
Metallica
Shadows Fall
Dream Theater
Rhapsody
Nightwish

Sorry metalfreak. Even my friend has to pay for a session.

He's issues with his squats because he doesn't understand the arch and cannot find the base of balance for his squats. He ends up rounding his back and using most of his hip strength. As a result, he's got what i call "spear" legs which are big on the top, and small at the quad. Also his deadlift can't go up right because of this same issue. Poor long torso people like me. OH how well I understand your problem.

In 1 Utama's Celebrity Fitness, there is one area where you can hear two music / songs playing at the same time.

Don't believe me, you can ask Pedro.

Rocky's theme song. Never fails to inspire!

I don't really listen to songs when I lift weight. A bit too distracting.
Unless it is so loud that the noise becomes deafening... as if you're in the ZONE!!

That's what you get for being in a ghetto gym. Sometimes, even Michael Jackson pun ada. X^D

I don't know why, for some reason, whenever I see some fellas, I just can't workout hard. That's why I always workout whenever there are only 5 people around.

I'd start off with the Rocky Pump up theme, then a mixture of instrumentals & fast tempo musics la. My gym playlist got Bourne ID theme in it, Eminem's Lose Urself, Lady Gaga, Eye of the Tiger, among others la. I normally warmup with a jump rope, so that Rocky Pump up song is just perfect la... rclxms.gif

Made me laugh non stop. rclxms.gif

For me, all the latest pop songs with fast beat. Those slow ones, i need to skip during my workout biggrin.gif

Most of the time i take my ipod with me because the gym is damn noisy (sound system and some huge arab guys carrying massive weights. The funny part is they will come in a group of 2-3 and the others will give motivation. I can't really tell what they are saying but there seem to be whistling sounds once in a while and they like to pat each other on the shoulder while lifting the weights) laugh.gif

For the runners

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Your Guardian Angel
The Veronicas - Untouched
Anges - Release Me [UK Radio Edit]
Rihanna - Please Don't Stop the music
Linkin Park - The new Divide (transformer theme)
Neon Genesis Evangelion - Cruel Angel 's Thesis
IP Man
Timbalan ft. Kate Perry - If We Ever Meet Again
The Lonely Island ft. T-Pain - I'm on a Boat
Rocky Theme song - Eye of the tiger (mentioned several times)
David Tao - Angeline
Queen - Don't Stop Me Now (personal fav) biggrin.gif
Enya - Anywhere is

be careful listening to songs because most of mine is above 180 bpm so very good for speedworks

Sometimes I arrange my songs according to increasing bpm to lesser bpm songs for warming down
Some songs are really good for running in the rain and winter weather since past few months were winter here so had to run in rain (and wind) a couple of times

yea I can. But that only ever happens if my mp3 suddenly runs out of battery in the middle of a rainy run..

one can always jog/run with another person so you could talk along the way and actually cap your pace to prolong the session

i haz new ipod!!!! yaaaayyy!!! (old one got pinched at the gym i think sad.gif )

my fave songs? i listen to a wide range of music.... mostly metal n rock - Marilyn Manson is a top fave, followed by Metallica, Disturbed, Cradle of Filth, Nightwish, Drowning Pool etc.
but i guess any fast-paced and catchy songs go when it comes to cardio; even dancey-dancey latin beats and musical soundtracks i.e Chicago

hmm.. there's another one similar to that called
Requiem for a Dream.
there's a lot of version of this, which are mostly classical.
but there's a version remixed by Clint Mansell, which is just epic.

Haha, well I did. Was going through most suggestions here, not much that suits me.

Just finished listening to Requiem for a Dream. It starts off too slowly for my liking, kinda "potong" if the song starts while I'm half-way through a set. Haha. The ending is epic though!

Hahah, yeah. I just like the beat, it'll distract me from the pain while pushing that last 2-3 reps.

Don't know if anyone mentioned this already, but Roy Jones - Can't Be Touched is a good song.

Then I will think about other things smile.gif

U know there was one time where I was deeply in a crush with this girl, almost 2 years ago already, she was the only person I think about when I was working out,and perhaps the thought of her gave me that extra energy and motivation..since that time on,I've been exercising and getting fitter..I really worked out like crazy that time..and always listened to a certain song..now when I listen to that song,I always think back about her and that period..

But anyway,I don't like her anymore, dun think she likes me and she's older than me sad.gif

Chill. Its only Tuesday and I've had KFC 3 times this week. LOL. I'm bulking now, so don't really care.

Fort Minor's Remember The Name is a good workout track too.

party/club songs won't pump me up during workout. it makes me more distracted instead. biggrin.gif

that's why i prefer something more serious, epic-sounding music.
someone mentioned about E.S Posthumos in the last few pages and it's freaking awesome!

like trance, need a good solid hour of it and I remain pumped throughout.

Used to train heaps but not much any more, trying to get back into it.

I have found I thought I knew a lot about training only to realise I know nothing and have to re educate myself.

Armin van buuren universal religion
Tiesto in search of sunrise series
MoS annuals are pretty good (getting a little commercial these days)
Deadmau5 - of course
electro house compilations and 90's trance is good too.\

really can't find any decent sites however to get it.

about time to buy a mp3 player. my gym's song selection is getting worse by the day =.=". last week they were playing OLDIES of all things zz. any good brands to recommend? no need very stylish ones, just great/above average sound quality, preferably with a lcd screen and headphones that dont drop out when you go for a run. non mac stuff please, kinda find them overrated.

an old timer told me this "u should only listen to music while doing cardio only, but stop listening to it when u r lifting weight, cuz ur body wont react to the training coz the music is affecting the messages from ur muscle to the brain"....
