QUOTE(dest9116 @ Mar 31 2023, 10:47 AM) Hi any suggestion for the strongest router with farthest range? I'm having tenda ac18 but to my 3rd floor not very stable although for 2 bars signal, I plan to upgrade to Ac23, or any other suggestion for better range? AC18 is already offering a good range. AC23 is worst than AC18 in term of hardware. For 3rd floor, personally I will look for mesh wifi solution if you don't want any cabling/wall hacking. Of coz if location is straight forward , I prefer to pull a Lan cable to bridge the mesh router.

Hi all Tenda sifu,
I have a 5G CPE modem, can I pull a LAN cable to connect it to TX9, and set up TX9 as my main wireless AP ?
I read spec-sheet that TX9 is double the speed of say like TX2. Then I read this posts most of you are using the AC1200 series, what is the main difference ?

QUOTE(szecheng @ Feb 18 2021, 06:09 PM) I think mesh won't cut speed. Wifi extender/repeater will because it has its own ssid Nope. Only tri-band/quad-band MESH system doesn't cut speed because it uses it's own 5GHz/6GHz band Dual-band MESH system still cuts speed because it uses the same 5GHz band for the connectivity with all MESH devices and your personal devices This post has been edited by sHawTY: Jul 25 2023, 12:18 PM

Was waiting for advice but at the end I went for Xiaomi AX1800, as my requirement is quite basic and the existing router at home is Xiaomi 4A so it works better together.

QUOTE(ktek @ Jul 26 2023, 09:38 PM) powerfull or not the 5gz coverage zone The 5gz coverage is not so great for the newer Xiaomi AX1800, it is better on the older Xiaomi 4A gigabit router, strange thing. But anyhow I enable the smart mode and wifi 6 on the AX1800 router, so far so good for the ground floor of my house (about 24x 50ft where the router is near to my TV at living room). My 5G modem (Yeacomm) placed on 1st floor, whereby the big side windows is giving me strong 5G signal. Then the Mi 4A giga router at 2nd floor supporting to the 2 rooms there and can reach the toilet Both Xiaomi routers are used as wireless repeater of my 5G modem, using same AP name. So phone can switch connection from ground floor to 1st to 2nd floor.

Anyone having issues like mine? Tenda TX3 will hang up, whenever connected to my new Realtek RZ616 wifi adapter on MSI B650M gaming wifi. If I use Asus AC59U, seems no issue on 5GHz band. But once I used RZ616 to connect to TX3, the router will hang up for no reason...even RMA'ed a new router/tried different RZ616 drivers from other mobo makers Asus/MSI didn't resolves the issue...

And since TX3 is already out of development, highly unlikely you will get any support from Tenda to fix out those bugs. But you may try contacting Tenda support.

Hmm, the AMD RZ616 is a rebranded Mediatek chip actually I would suggest maybe looking into replacing it with an Intel AX200/AX210 that is better ( do not get AX201/AX211) Intel cards are still better than the Mediatek / Realtek ones yes, the wifi module built into the motherboard is replaceable, guides are out there online it's a hidden M.2 slot basically

Yeah thought about this too..just wondering if TX12 Pro will also have these issues or not before pulling the trigger. Get something with more settings like Asus or Tp Link...these 2 won't go wrong.

QUOTE(sitescope @ Sep 20 2024, 01:56 PM) Yes my ac23 still working fine after 3 yrs Seldom reboot too except no more firmware upd Before I upgraded my devices, I had a tenda ac10u, bought below RM90, sold back used at around RM70 after almost 4 years. Tenda is a real tanker, but their UI if not worse, couldn't be better than Dlink. even their latest WiFi 6, I see has not much of a function and their app ui is not really comprehensive. But is truly worth while for your money.

Don't think the China and International models can even link together. China got their own set of WiFi rules that operate at much lower transmit power and they dont support certain WiFi channels
