If you are having the red Wii, I'll be very shocked if it didn't already have the FW to play the much older NSMB.

No you don't need any kind of HD TV to utilize the Wii. But get a full HD TV nonetheless if you are planning for future usage. And the best TV for Wii are widescreen CRT TV and certain plasma TV with 896 x 480 resolution, both are extinct these days though. Anyone knows the cheaper Wii version will have US release or not? Looking to get a US Wii for cheap  |
