ive got a wira 2002 1.5 year 02 auto..what can i do to increase power? Im not looking to swap engines, just simple mods. Does K&N air filters do any help??

for myself.... without swap engine, change the intake and exhaust system - with exhaust system first (change extractor, remove cat con, increase piping size), then the intake system (drop in K&N should work better). can feel power coming at earlier RPMs. will change mufflers too so can get to top speed faster, but right now (see earlier posts) i wanna concentrate of fixing/painting car, and change those stupid tyres for more grip.

how much increase are you looking at? if only minor adjustment, then you can look at below mod.
1.open pod filter (k&n la, hks la, whatever brand)
2.4-2-1 ekstractor, aftermkt centre box(restrictive type), aftermkt muffler(s-type).
3.At least, semisyn engine oil. (rev easier)

thats IMO.
