just bought my TD2 few days ago with many preloaded programs. it is stylish & slim. the only down side is it gets hot whenever you surf around. overall....fully satisfied!

yup. its free. but i suggest not to upgrade it so soon when it release. wait for some users feedback. afraid that WM6.5 might crash. finger-cross.

do anyone know how to remove an apps? i tried doing it from "Remove Program" but it doesnt show there. fyi. all my apps are stored in storage card. do i delete it from there?

i m facing some weird problem with SMS too.

I set my SMS tone to "Ring & Vibrate" and my phone is usually locked. But i do encounter a couple of times where my phone just vibrate non-stop....without ringing tone when i receive sms.

and also the funny thing is, i tend to get delayed sms. eg: my friend sms me at 12:05PM. i did not check my phone...after about 10mins, when i press the power button to activate it......then only my smses arrive. i found this to be troublesome especially when you are waiting for sms. anyone facing the same problem?

i delete 3G setting from my phone. no more 3G data. to do so...

START -> Settings -> All Settings -> Connections -> Connections

Go to Manage 3G or whatever it is call and remove the 3G setting from there. Done.

free upgrade is included when you purchase it. if htc do not provide wm6.5 upgrade for free, you can sue them.

i use w850 before getting D2. what i did was...

1) saved contacts into CSV format
2) import to outlook
3) sync D2. done.

if you want to edit contacts, just go to outlook to change it. fast & simple.

there are news stated that TD2 & TP2 will be getting WM6.5 upgrade but just an improved version of TouchFLO3D 2.0. TF3D 2.5 not included. and for your info, MS will be releasing WM6.5.1 and we wont be getting it.

as for WM6.5.1, it is not confirm. based on the product specs, HTC TD2 only support free upgrade to WM6.5 and bare in mind that WM6.5 is different compared to WM6.5.1

There is a cooked ROM out there with WM6.5.1 that looks really nice & cool. i've personally tried it myself but sad to say...it is very buggy. cant sync contacts/email, and phone freeze when changing setting from USB-Sync to USB-File Transfer.

i've upgraded to WM6.5. thanks for the link.

anyway, i discovered that WM6.5's Outlook is not as useful as WM6.1. Why?

in WM6.1, i can select sub-folders to sync but not in WM6.5. it only show main folder (eg: Inbox, Sent Items... etc).

function wise, some slight improvement from WM6.1 in terms of files/folders view where it is slightly bigger or to be precise..more space out.

Pro's
1: Better files/folder view
2: Un-locking device via "slide" (same as iPhone) which is cool
3: All-in-1 page for "All Settings". eliminating the crappy tab at the bottom
4: include "Program" tab on TF3D
5: Weather graphic included on TF3D home screen. nothing special but quite cool

Con's
1: Email doesn't sync sub-folders
2: Calendar still doesn't have "go to date" function //installing 3rd party app will help.

Overall:
After testing WM6.5.1 cooked ROM (for HTC HD2) with TF3D2.5, i found that it is more feature friendly compare to WM6.5.
Hopefully HTC will provide free upgrade.

Nothing much to comment at the moment as i just installed it.

i m using wm6.5.1 now. from shadowline (xda-developers). surprisingly... the new update works fine compared to previous rom. am sticking to it for sure.

xda-developers do provide stock rom if you wish to revert back to original.

official ROM use an upgraded version of TF3D 2.0. HTC HD2 uses TF3D 2.5 *renamed to HTC Sense.

my current rom, when loading... it show "loading HTC Sense" instead of "loading TouchFlo 3D".

HTC Sense support background weather which is very very cool. i love the lightning feature as it makes my screen flicker...LOL

yes. the whole screen flicker. there are 2 options. Weather Wallpaper & Animated Wallpaper. surprisingly, this rom didnt include Animated picture at all. but i like the weather more.
