NO. it wont install by itself. you have to Hard SPL your device.

What you need to do...

1) Download 2 files. Hard SPL (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=520312) //filename: Topaz-HardSPL_V5_00R5_183HSPL.zip & Shadowline ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=526618) //filename: RELEASE_TOPAZ_23502x1M_Shadowline.zip.

2) Extract all zip files.

3) Plug your phone into USB. make sure battery is more than 50%.

4) Double click on Topaz-HardSPL_V5_00R5_183HSPL.exe

5) Follow the steps provided. Make sure to flash in AUTOMATIC mode instead of Manual mode. *Process = less than 3 mins

6) Device will auto reboot. Enter pin code like normal.

7) Now, double-click on TopazRUUWrapper.exe

8) Follow the steps provided. *Process = 5 mins

9) Device will auto reboot. You will be able to see MS Windows Phone Blue screen instead of WM6.5's orange. *Veery cool.
The rest....you should be able to figure out.

0) If you wish to use back Original Stock rom, go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=520312 and download TopazSPLRelocker_SPL133.zip. Process is same as Hard SPL *point 4 above

PS: I only tested it on my device which work fine. Pls consider before installing custom ROM.

So far so good. tested it not even more than 48 hours. as for batt...i charge everynight. not very sure about that but dont expect much.

maybe the activesync abit buggy during 1st/2nd time use. after that...it works like a charm. Tips: instead of syncing by clicking on ActiveSync sync button...the best way is by tapping on device sync icon.

i will try it for 2 weeks and see how.

Suggestion:
Use SPB Backup to backup your device before installing Custom ROM. the whole installation process will take less than 10 mins. then do a trial run. if you dont like, you can use back Original rom anytime.

after using Shadowline for 48hrs....i really like the rom.

as far as i know, official TD2 use TF3D2.1 while HD2 use TF3D2.5

i've tested TD2 6.5 as posted by member in this forum. Home screen only have weather (in between time) and Program tab.


HD2 has got a similiar Home tab with animated wallpaper/weather minus program tab. 3 icon can be seen at the bottom.

this is normal la. it makes the screen look "animated"

that is not a virus. disable virus protection, run installation and then enable virus protection. that will work.

AP set only 1 year warranty i suppose where as SIS set provide 2 years warranty. initially, i wanted to go for AP set but the price is not much diff. so i opted for SIS set.

wow..RM510 is alot. back then when i bought it, the price diff is RM200. can consider AP then. you should also consider HD2. if i did not buy TD2.. i will most likely consider HD2. in my opinion, the only down side is the size. i dislike huge phone if not...i would've bought HD.

anyway...that is just my opinion. as the saying goes "One man's meat is another man's poison". LOL

as far as i know, US carriers doesn't support video call. maybe 1 or 2 i dont know. maybe due to that, iphone doesnt have video call. it is like iphone are design specifically for american. well..some old news regarding video call in US. http://www.itwire.com/content/view/18711/1103/1/2/ there are more but i lazy to search. lol

the only way to transfer is by Backing up contact from MyPhoneExplorer.
MyPhoneExplorer - Backup contacts into CSV file format
Outlook - Import into outlook
done.

yea. no free apps but with WM phone, you can find way around to crack it. anyway...i m not encouraging piracy. use at your own risk. well.. there are many free apps around (with or without ad-support). LOL

ebay got alot. far more cheaper than PDAir. go check it out
