I suggest you use a converter. There's a .cab file in xda forum that converts videos to WVGA (480x800) mp4. Works really sweet from the few movies that I tried so far. Play it via the native "Album" player. I read that it utilizes TD2's graphic accelerator.

Who's your mobile provider?

Try Settings > Communications > Phone > Band.

Under Network Type. Is it Under "Auto"? If it is, it should detect 3G whenever there's coverage.

Bear in mind though, with 3G on, it drains battery very very quickly. It will only last me half a day at the most. If I do video calls, surf, email...

Bro, I think I remember reading about reviews that some Diamond 2 versions not supporting 3G. Since yours is an AP set, that might be a possibility.

How do I assign or change my hardware button functions?

I just installed Mobile Shell, and when I press the "Call" button, it'll show the HTC Dialer instead of Spb Contacts.

Under the Button settings, I can only change 1 button. That's the "Button 1 [Hold]".

Some claim the hotfix didn't work for them.

I used advanced config to solve the problem.

You guys try this phone with 3G? It drains the battery suprisingly fast.

What about using push email with 3G? That's what I'm doing mostly when I noticed the much higher battery drain.

Did you enable graphic acceleration under spb's settings?

Normally, I prefer to convert the video to mp4 and play it from the Album software. Smooth.

For the Encoder software, you can get it from the xda forum.

Ok. Just found out how to disable the animation in Home tab.

Just choose Settings > Personalize > Home tab wallpaper > Animated Wallpaper

And then choose Albums and choose any of your previous un-animated wallpaper.

Btw, which Hard SPL to use for TD2?

I just flashed a custom ROM with no Manila. Really, really big difference in speed and memory usage. With some of Today plugins installed, I still have slightly more than 120mb free program memory.

Less RAMs used = longer battery life.
I'm using Today screen currently.

Just Pocket Digital Clock + Metrix2 + GPS2day (for fun) on a custom ROM with no HTC Sense. I think my battery life is 50% longer with around 120mb of free program memory. Clear the RAM from time to time with CleanRAM program. Close any apps that's not being use and like what other users said, go to lock screen.

But Today is of course uglier than HTC Sense lah.

You guys experiencing random contacts occasionally go missing from the phone memory?
