I had that as well, erm maybe due to some faulty cables.
Now I don't seem to get 'em anymore.

the cheapest and easiest way to do it is ...

to get cellotape and a wire ... cellotape it the end on the equipment and the other end on the floor

to trouble shoot and determine if cables are faulty, disconnect all cables leaving just the power cable on. do not link any of your eq's at the moment.
turn on/off everything and check, then work your way till the last cable one by one and see if those cables are causing the problem.

If you get the static even without interconnecting your eq's, then you should be able to pin point out which device immediately.

Happy testing bro. & make sure you off everything before connecting any thing just to be safe.

This is not static electricity, right ? Is your room carpeted ?
Maybe the device is not grounded properly.

Too many positively charged things in one place. Negatively charged things are glass, rubber, wood, ceramic.

all your equipment are in 2 pins socket. all u have u to is run a wire from 1 of the socket's earth and touch the end to any of the equipments body. i think your amp should have a ground terminal. should be a screw type where it is for the phono inputs or the spring loaded type where it is for the antenna smile.gif

get yourself a 3 pin plug, but with the neutral and live pins removed for safety.
the earth pin shall be connected to a cable, which is then connected or "touched" to the equipment casing that's giving you a shock. the plug will be plugged at the power socket for grounding.
if all the AV equipments are connected to each other, the earthing cable that you have created just now only need to be "touched" on any one of the equipments only.
