Just came back from Kulim KIA showroom. Only 1.6cc EX available. No test drive but got a chance to start the engine and test aircon. The car was decorated like a wedding car, really spoilt the view. I guess of us already know the spec for EX and SX, so point to mentioned about it.

Overall, the size is not that really big but much bigger than Vios and City. Better get the SX as the EX is really very basic. Interior is all black plastic. Aircon compressor is Made in Korea, Doowood. Don't know whether its exspensive for repair and replacement?

Pro.
1) Spacious
2) Maintenance free battery
3) Air con blower very strong (max)
4) Fancy CD Player
5) Sound system better than Jap car. Basic player also got 4 level of bass.
6) Door with double rubber lining but closing still not solid?????
Cons
1) Door closure not solid (No "kumph" sound like Vios and City)
2) No hood cover (against the engine)
3) Interior looks not elegant due to over use of plastic material all round.
4) Interior door trim is plastic, no fabric.
5) Petrol fill lid made of plastic.
6) Body metal thin. (this is usual to nowadays new car)
7) Overall plastic interior, 99% (car seat not included).
8) Korean tyre, Hankook. (no year manufacture inprint, can not check what year)

The SX version will not be available for viewing here until Friday 27/11. I hoping to have a look of the SX version and give a test drive. No special discount here, only free cheap tinted. If I choose to buy, I will go for SX, sell off the 17" rims and buy a 15" alloy rims.

With SX price at RM81K, in my own opinion it is very tricky and difficult to choose as at this price range, there are alot of others car to consider. Its up to individual usage and priority.

Just got to know SA where this 1st batch of CBU do not have any 2.0SX unit. It mean all 500 unit is under 1.6 EX and SX. 2.0SX only available next year Jan 2010.

Oh my god!!!! I sold my car and booked the 2.0SX last month and now pending loan approval. Evetything run smooth except this bad news - NO CAR.....

I do agree with you if this is compared by the basic rule. NAZA KIA has to throw in all the goodies and extra to capture the market. Hopefully this will be a big hit and a big come back for KIA. As we would not like to have only Japanese car leading the way.

Question now is realibility and resale value which buyers have to risk this. Also, more goodies means more risk of rosak.

So its up to individual.

Hi, sorry been v.v.busy lately..haa... ya... aftermarket... original switch is right on top of your side mirror adj.. sg ad now makes this aftermarket standard...so you start /stop it folds... very convenience.. a little too much actually to me...  yes.. everyone is doing that... should cost you about 700~RM for tat.. (see y they drop it?)heee..
think afterall not many use it... actually at the cost of ori install is high... that is why they drop it afterall... (at least cut another 500~haaa... just like sg push button for SGD1k!!... who would tot kimchi car could sell this well... ??
Yeah... as pointed out.. car nowadays design to absorb then to resist.. think civic bumper should still be no.1 in dropping off in collision???!!! call it pedestrian safety..  haaa... dun worry forte is anyday much stronger then vios (tested by some bro.. in actual collision.. ) after the skin there is actually crushing zone.. (structure) that takes it. i think forte shell is hard if not harder then most jap make..

Yeah, sneak in, but have to see from interior. Exterior u will not be able to differentiate 1.6SX or 2.0SX. So, from interior seat, leather or not, able to tell u the result.
