The "bus driver" statement is me being sarcastic with how the "company" treats us, a.k.a just like how they treat Metro bus drivers and all, "asalkan boleh jalan, jalan" kinda attitude without regard to fatigue and human factors and of course, the way our general wellbeing and benefits in the company are being treated, with malaise and flagrant disregard. So "bus driver" is apt indeed.

bro, i wanna ask u how do u get used to jet lag? how can you make urself sleep when it is time you are supposed to doze off in other countries?
*
Sorry Biddy I didnt notice this earlier.

Well, basically, you try and get your rest and sync it with the local time there. Example, I leave KL midnight, and reach Stockholm in the morning , Stockholm time. But in KL it is late lunch already, like 4pm, so I try and get my makan, for lunch and dinner combined (makan at the restaurant there or tapao), then sleep the entire day until tomorrow morning. Those who not used to it, may wake up in the middle of the night (Stockholm time) since back in KL it is for morning breakfast already, so we usually have something to eat for ourselves in our room. Once you get used to the time flow there, then it is easy.

The problem for me is, I get caught up in the time at my destination, and cannot catch up with the KL time here. Which is why you see me wide awake at 3am and babbling here in Kopitiam, because my body tells me, it is still late evening/early dinner at my previous destination, so I cant sleep. so in the end, I end up jadi burung hantu loh. Hoot hoot!

user posted image

And because of these irregular sleep patterns, those who had met me, know I have panda eyes.

So how? Owl + Panda = ? tongue.gif

Aku pun nak g shopping nih. Must buy new shoes for Aussie.

Not my call really. We the flight crew usually are less prone to getting infected, the cabin crew are more susceptible since they deal with the passengers depan2. The call here is up to the passengers, make sure no AH1N1 carriers. MAS now have this policy of turning down passengers who are sick or look sick at the departure destination, before they are allowed to board, so hopefully no AH1N1 case onboard lah. It all now depends on the ticket counter crews to evaluate the passengers properly. The passengers also, must be civic-minded lah, if sick, stay the FRAK away from travelling lah, menyusahkan orang jer. shakehead.gif

Can can. I arrive Osaka on the morning, and I definitely am planning to go to Yodobashi Camera, the 8-storey gadget heaven in downtown Osaka. I ususally just stay inside Yodobashi, and let the joy of beeps, boops, and electronices noise from the gadgets there just wash over me.......heaven! wub.gif

Say string, you interested in arcade gaming?
*
Yes, but I stopped mostly after 2000. No time. But when I got the chance I go sometimes. Last arcade was in Sydney, I went to Timezone play Tekken 6 BR. I used to be good at it, especially during Tekken 3, can do King's multicatch throws with eyes close. Now sudah tua, fingers all now not as fast as it used to. blush.gif But I can hold my own in Tekken lah.

string, what he means is, legendary oldern days arcade gaming, during the good old 90s. tongue.gif
*
Yes I do, if that is what he meant. I was there during the Street Fighter Zero/Alpha 2 tournament at Sg.Wang concourse area, siap naik pentas to challenge the other guy on big screens there. But I was not that good, so got T-shirt and poster oni. tongue.gif But it is the atmosphere that counts.

I also have a special place in my heart for Mortal Kombat II arcade. That is where I met my arcade kakis. We all first know each other there, and learn the secret fatalities from each other there, there were no such thing as Internet or messageboard to refer to, or find info on these secret moves anywhere. MKII last time we play was at Kotaraya arcade, so every end of the month we go down to S&M Arcade mall next door to the mamak magazine store and curi2 open the gaming magazine(EGM and GamePro) to see if the fatality moves are listed there. Then when mamak found out his magazines all koyak open already, we cabut! laugh.gif

Also nearly kena tahan by police during arcade raid once. That was during 1993 and the rules entering arcade alrady tighten up have to show IC make sure not underage then can enter. I forged my IC (dun ask me how) to look like I was above 18, because was addicted to MKII. Police raided the arcade there, but we managed to sneak out before they manage to cover all exits.

Another time also, my buddy had this Casio watch that can emit phone dialtones (kena ban right after phone companies find out) into phones so that we can make free calls.........to Japan! I am not bullshitting you, we woke up like 5 am, went to the KTM station payphone there(because we scouted out which payphone can be used to make free calls with using this Casio watch dialtones) and called Capcom Japan. I still remember the rep we called there, Saburi-san,we called at 7am(Japan time around 9am) he answered our queries on how to do those special moves on Darkstalkers Capcom arcade game. After that, what else!? Go arcade, try the codes out, and well, we basically got a crowd around our arcade cabinet looking at us and trying to see how we do the Anakaris multi-curse move, Hsien-ko spiked-ball-and-chain-ball drop special, or Donovan Baine's secret special move as well.

Crazy, crazy days! We all moved on, and most already married with kids, but when we meet up and reminisce, we looked at it with fond memories and sometimes wonder how stupid we can be doing all this for arcade games. laugh.gif

I wish I could, but I totally cannot play KOF12. I cant play KOF at all, I cant grasp the mechanics of the game.

Can you give links for the Supergun, X2 or the Taito Viewlix thingy? Like I said, I left the arcade scene after 2000, and did not kept myself up-to-date with the scene.

From my own wireless VOD movie system at home. 4 Futurama movies, starting with Bender's Big Score, The Beast with a Billion Backs, Bender's Game and ends with Into the Wild Green Yonder. A hearty salute goes to all Futurama fans who fought the system (Fox) for cancelling the show early, bought the DVDs/Blu-rays as a show of support to the series, made Fox notice on how much Futurama means to the fans, and this brought it back alive from the grave. icon_rolleyes.gif

Futurama will return with a promised of AT LEAST 13 episode on Comedy Central, and the rest depending on how the ratings are on the national network. rclxm9.gif

Last chance for a chance to get the actual PSN cards or the Wii Point cards from NY. PSN cards, I believe can be purchased at Meijer stores, Blockbuster, Rite-Aid, 7-Eleven, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target stores across the United States. The PlayStation Network Cards are available in $20, $50 and $100 denominations. Wii Point cards is available at Nintendo's own Nintendo World Store at Rockefeller Center and other participating gaming-related stores like Gamestop and Best Buys.

I know there are alternatives to buying these actual cards, for example, for the PSN credit, you can use the Maybank American Express card, and for the Wii Points, using my Brazil Hack, but this is a good alternative for those who have no access to credit cards and want physical cards in their hands.

I'm leaving tomorrow, so you may have less than 24 hours to decide.
